Very well, I will seek out Lord Gorlim.

"My lord, a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Menelacar of Gondor."

A short set of pleasantries later, Menelacar proceeds.

"I have recently been brought in on the - investigation - and was hoping you could give me some information - background, opinions, and so forth - on Lord Seinost. Would that be possible?"

"Seinost? Hmm. A Dunadan, of course, but not actually one of famed descent. His title is his by virtue of marriage alone; it's his wife who is the true descendant. But he's really done well in working together with the rest of us. Very popular with the people as well. Respectable man. Pillar of the community, I would say."

"Working together? In what way?"

"He's very amiable, and he's put more than his fair share of resources in to support Arvedui's efforts. Marrying into the Council is awkward for anyone, but he's won people over."

"What is his actual background then?"

"Just a small landowning family. He is a Dunadan, after all."

"Thank you for your help, Lord Gorlim."
With that, Menelacar exits in search of Lord Seinost.

Seinost is in his rooms at the palace. He seems happy enough to spare time for a word with a Dunadan from Gondor.

He's a tall guy, handsome, dark-haired (of course). A lot of artwork in his room.

"Lord Seinost, a pleasure. A remarkable collection of art!"

"Thankyou," he says. "I'm a bit of a collector. So! Come from Gondor. Few make that journey, and not along ago, none had for centuries."

"Well, with these external threats to the world of men, we must stick together! I just fear the diplomatic links have not been too late in resurfacing. Ardelain has had some unfortunate defeats of late."

"Setbacks only. Besides, we win some, they win some... but er are not riven by dispute, as Rhudaur and Cardolan were. Ever does Angmar fail to take us."

"I have heard tale of new armies being formed - perhaps they would have more success."

"The Northern Army suffered from the destruction of Amon Los. But it will soon re-build. The Eastern army is to be strengthened also. New men are being trained, and refugees from those parts of Cardolan that the Hillmen have destroyed are keen to sign up.@

"All well and good, but an army is only as good as the man who leads it..."

Tenharien, a Silvan Elf had been travelling alone for some time now. Set apart from his small group. But now on his own he often sought a company to converse with. He spotted two men speaking and moved towards them with no expression on his face. "How are you gentlemen?"

Not having the time or leisure to introduct you into the plot from the start, Mace, I'm really going to have to insert you in midway, so we'll take all the preamble as read!

---

"That's true, but not a problem with stout-hearted Dunadain to lead them."

(Thats even better. I wouldnt want to claim to have started when i didnt. Midway is cool with me, chief. I will read and identify where we are now.)

"Well, that hasn't served Arthedain so well in the past. Perhaps stout-heartedness is not quite enough in these uneasy times."

"Gentlemen? Excuse me. I cannot help but overhear your rather... controversial group. My name is Tenharian." I nod.
