William draws another arrow and puts it to the bowstring.

For the bull!

And both in the black again!

At thos point, we could go for highest score (i.e. closest to dead centre) to break the tie,

But instead, Edmund steps out towards the royal pavillion, and declares:

"No archer of this skill should be denied a place in the final!"

The King is silent for a few moments, and then declares:

"Seven shooters in the final it is!"

There is another massive upraor of cheering.

William turns and bows to the audience, and to Edmund.

"Thank you very much!" he says, thrilled at his newfound popularity in Fornost.

"Well done, little man!" cries Menelacar, somewhat patronisingly, from the stands.

Moving onto the next round soon... in which Ellothiel is up...

But I do seem to remember some of you said you wanted this thing to kick off to give you grounda and time to talk and what-not. Well, time is passing!

"Good call! Great Idea!"

Palidan hears the distant roar of the crowd,
He sighs lightly at the boistiousness of the common people, and upon finding no-one around, turns to walk back towards the archery grounds, looking for a noble or someone worth talking to

Well, the entire Council is there!

Ellothiel will aim for the black for her first shot.

I ment on the way...
but hmm,
Who do I want to talk to...

Good question.

Menelacar with search out Annuneryn if anyone wants to join me....

There is a short pause in proceedings as the targets are changed.

Annuneryn, fresh-faced youngster that he is, you would think would be paying close attention to something as exicitng as this, But he's not; when you look at him his mind seems to be elsewhere. He's in the Lord's pavilion, next to the royal one, with members of his retinue.

(Well, can I join despite my character not being added to Roll of Honour?)

Yup yup.

Okay, assuming that Elladil has just entered the city and he has never been in significant human settlements, what are his impressions?

Fornost is actually rather nice, an ancestral city of the Dunadain built not long after the days of Numenor.

It's the bloody people everywhere that gets to you. It's crowded and they are all uncouth and smelly and not many of them appear to be Dunadan.

Elladil seems puzzled and fascinated at the same time, wondering if there are any dangers among such crowd, as he heard many stories about the evil deeds humans are capable of, even the descendants of Elros and Numenor. He knew Firimar are capable of cruel and terrible actions, as well as those of great nobility and spirit. He is surely going to miss the smells of the forest, in this environement he finds himself quite vulnerable, it would be wise to find other elves that were supposed to arrive here before him.
But he is still happy and enthralled to see so many children around. Few children have been recently born in elven communities, but here it seems that almost every family is blessed with a young one. He smiles at a very sweet-looking young girl, but she seems to be a bit afraid of him.... Well, she likely hasn`t seen one of the Quendi before.

Elladil would look for the Royal Palace, or ask when he can find the King.

Can Menelacar talk to Annuneryn, or is it a bit difficult?

Not hard to find, Elladil- what with this whacking great tournament on.

-

Nope, not hard, Menelacar. Even less hard for a charismatic Dunadan; they are positively comfortable talking to you.
