USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

Indeed so, not a good descent for someone seeking to marry into the Royal Family and put himself third in line for the throne!

Ah! So I do!

Is it time for that?

Talin will applaud Menelacar for is valiant effort.

"I could not have done much better," Talin comments. "Horses are much too large. Pony-jousting, however... maybe."

"Indeed, my new dwarven friend", replies Menelacar, "although Ponies are a touch on the low side for me."

It can be time for that if you wish!

Annuneryn actually loses that joust! He falls heavily on the third run, and attendants run over to check his health.

So, Robert will meet you in a classy tavern, Talin- he's gone up in the world!

Anything you wanted to do in the meanwhile, Menelacar? Next event is the Riddling contest, which will be followed by both melees (with which I hope to get the kife back into this game, follow that wiht the finale, and them move on. Yay!)

(And hopefully this game will be fully uo and running again by the time Hobbit hype starts)

Can I meet with the Princess now? If not I will go in for the riddling contest

She has retired back to her quarters after the Joust, but yes, you can get a meeting with her.

In that case, I will try and get one!

Ok, let's race things on as quickly as possible! You are shpwn to a waiting room in the Palace, Mithlond, where you asked to wait- apparently the Princess is currently talking to someone.

I'm am still in for the Riddling contest.

Is it the sort of place where I could eavesdrop?

I am afraid not, Menelcar- you are in an antechamber with members of her guar din attendance.

But it is a somehwat hobbling Annuneryn that emerges a few minutes later.

"An unfortunate result, my lord," says Menelacar, "I thought on the day you deserved better."

"Oh, err... yes, thankyou..." he says, apparently not expecting to have seen anyone out there.

"Just about to pay my respects to the Princess. She seemed awfully upset you didn't win."

"Well... she feels I was unlucky. I must be going..."

He heads out.

"Farewell!"

Menelacar will wait to be ushered into the princess' chambers, or wherever he is meeting her.

Indeed so. These are very lavish chambers and she is constantly being attended to by her ladies in waiting, in front of a gold-backed mirror; the whole place is don eout in silks and cushions.

She turnes to see you.

"A noble from Gondor! I am always honoured to meet such a man, I am, of course, half-Gondorian myself."

Talin feels slightly out of place in the classy tavern, being a Dwarf, but does not mind so long as he is meeting Robert there.

"Long time no see!" Talin jokes, upon seeing his friend. "It has been ages."

"My lady, may I first say what an honour it is to finally speak to you. My friends have told me much about you, and your beauty is not exaggerated. I am indeed Menelacar of Gondor. I take it your mother is well? My uncle was one of her father's captains against the Wainriders some thirty years ago."
