Also...
As much as I'd like to redeem myself for my recent loss and whup you all in the (hopefully) upcoming street-level tourney, my Mod-ness might make things tricky (both because I'm busier and because I wouldn't want anyone to feel like I'm getting votes just because I'm a mod). So I probably won't be participating in it.
But I'm also in a unique position to be able to run it a bit more smoothly than a normal member would (pinning threads and such, and the fact that I have to be on here quite a bit anyway). I wouldn't be opposed to being in charge of it, unless someone else wants to...that way, I'll be involved without actually fighting (since the tourney stuff is still cool, even if I'm not in it).
Just my 2c. If we think this is a good idea, I'll open a thread soon to finalize some stuff about the tourney and get it rolling. If not, that's cool too...one less thing I have to think about. Either way, post your thoughts.
I honestly don't care who runs it. A Mod-run tourny might be interesting, but if Scoob was really looking forward to running it, I don't like the idea of just snatching that away. It really depends on what Scoob says for me. If he decides he'd rather be in the tournament than running it, or has another reason why he'd rather not run it, I'd be cool with you taking over. If he still wants to do it and thinks he can handle all that running a tourny seems to entail, then I say let him.

Oh...hell. I didn't even know anyone else was interested. I thought a lot of people had said something to the effect of "I'd run it but I still want to take part in it" and I thought me running might eliminate that problem. I don't 'want' to run it...I just wouldn't mind it...but if anyone else feels like they want to (hell, maybe even 2 people could be in charge) I won't stand in their way...

When you're a mod, do you automatically get those huge avatars like that?
I think you have the ability to have a bigger avatar but it doesn't happen automatically, since I had a regular-sized one when I first became a Mod. I wanted it bigger though, so I fussed around with the avatar creator. I don't know what the limitations are for everyone else (never payed much attention to it before) but I can have up to 100x100 avatars...I'm guessing that's bigger than normal.
And as for the tourney...whatever Scoob says is fine by me. I just thought, since I was taking myself out of the tourney anyway, that I might make it easier for everyone by saying I could run it, so there wouldn't be a participant running the tourney. If someone else wants to it's cool...but the offer is there if ya'll want it.
i'm not that bothered who runs the upcoming powerful street tourny..... but i wouldn't mind being in on the set-up of it (along with a couple of others) so that we can agree on rules/power limits and stuff
to be honest i've not been on as much recently as i used to be due to work..... so a Mod probably would be a better choice for the overall running of it
