It's not what gives him his speed. The board is a part of him. He uses the board because it's the most efficient way for him to travel. He can still move his body at greater than light speed while off the board. He just can't fly.

If CM can somehow teleport Surfers board to the Rock Of Eternity he could do this.

H2H he's not... But Surfer doesn't fight h2h. He avoids people and blasts em. And yes, being able to move and react at greater than light speed DOES mean he can fight that fast. If it doesn't, what the hell does fighting mean to you people?

Superspeed to me is running at mach speeds or fighting really fast or whatever. Thinking and reacting to a single problem is not superhuman speed.

That's not strength... Hulk can't do shit in a nanosecond. Superstrength doesn't allow you to move that fast. And yes, Surfer is hit by slow people a lot. So is Superman. So is Flash for that matter. No one with superspeed uses it all the time to its fullest extent. Comics would be boring, see.

I see you disregarded the "no one uses their speed 24/7" part. And replied to the strength vs. speed thing with a completely pointless scan. Nice job. There's scans on the Surfer/Supes thread of Superman not being fast enough to block a couple bullets. Neither really proves anything about speed.
