WW is the second strongest in the DCU not just JLA. (I think.)
Atlas held the world on his shoulders and Hermes=Mercury. They are the same God except Hermes is the Greek name and Mercury is the Roman name.
But WW would still own CM's 16-year-old a$$. She's a skilled warrior who has tons of training and has taken down gods and goddesses by herself. And Thor would own CM as well.

Once again Captain Marvel has "a fraction of their essence" (namely Hercules). So that means he has literally a small portion of their power. He doesn't really have the strength of Hercules. He has a FRACTION of Hercule's strength. That's all the wizard could give to him and the gods would allow.
Diana on the other hand literally has the full brunt of the god's power. No contest.

I don't have the exact issue but I know it was during the earlier WW comics. Around the late eighties.
Well Superman and CM fight in the Power of Shazaam #46 and there in no conclusive winner.
Superman won the armwrestling match due to Freddy Freeman and his sister Mary tappin into their Shazaam powers at the time of the match resulting in CM loosing power.
Believe it or not but CM was winning the match.
And Nowhere can I find a bio or comic that says that he has a "portion" of the gods abilities.

i was wondering that myself. assumed it was in the same issues draco referenced with zeus and ww beating CM. i'd never heard that before either, and i've been collecting this stuff for a lonnnggggg time . . .
Superboy/Spidey- I'm goin with Superboy at least 7/10, he's just too damn strong and fast. (Spidey only beat him in the crossover by making him fly into some wires... Doubt he can do that more than once)
Elektra/Catwoman- Dunno. Probly Elektra.
Supes/Hulk- Superman 9/10 (this was Professor Hulk) Less rage for Hulk, Supes starts out waaaaaaaaay higher strength wise.
Storm/Wonder Woman- You people seriously underrate Diana... The fanboys would be allup in arms if anyone suggested Storm could hurt Superman, and WW's almost as good as he is.
Cap America/Bats- Closest fight, easy. Without gadgets or the shield, I'd give it to Batman like 8/10 for his crazy fightin skills. Depends on the terrain for a full on fight though... Batman is really really really sneaky, and he has gadgets capable of taking out Cap with a little surprise involved. Bruce 7/10 in a city or warehouse or something, Cap 6/10 in the open.
Silver Surfer/Kyle Rayner- Surfer, 10/10. Say fanboy all you want, Surfer has very few equals, he has people below him or people above him. He is simply too fast for anyone with human reaction times. (I'm assuming he gets to use all his powers, lightspeed movement and reaction speed are among them) Even Hal would get beat up pretty good, I'd go somethin like 8/10 there. The auto-protect system only kicks in for fatal or near fatal hits. GL's can be knocked out. And Surfer eats light (Gl projection is solid light)
Namor/Aquaman- Once again, don't really know enough. Namor has the physical advantage by a lot, but apparently Aquaman is now a telepath to rival Xavier. So if Namor can resist the telepathy for a lil bit, he wins. If not, Aquaman.
Thor/CM- Thor. Did someone say Odinforce? Even without it he's got the fighting skill edge.
Robin/Jubilee- Same as Batman/Cap. In places where Robin can get the jump on her, him 7/10. In the open, Jubilee probly 7/10 as well.
Thanos/Darkseid- ...You joking me? Not even taking into account that Thanos cannot die. In any way. He still beats up Darkseid. Darkseid gets beat up by Supes. Thanos beats up on Silver Surfer. No freaking contest. Thanos 10/10

Sweeeet, people agreeing with me. And the batman and Cap fight in the crossover pissed me off. Neither of em could win, then Cap got blindsided by sewage comin out of a pipe. Batman dives down into the water to save him, then they resurface with Cap somehow surviving and dragging an unconscious Batman. No win at all I say.

Superboy is too powerful for Spider-man.
Elektra vs. Catwoman
Elektra is a trained assassin and she'd toss a sai right threw CW and CW wouldn't know what hit her.

Superman has a lot more powers.
