Why Prayers Aren't Answered.

Regret, thanks for not actually answering my questions.

not only that, but people with AIDS as a collective do not have enough faith to will god to present a cure, even through science. 😆

I figure it'd be an individual thing if God did it.

You want some absolute answer to questions about why does God do what he does? Seems an exercise in futility, where in any religion has a God given a decent explanation as to why he does the things he does. I never stated anything as absolute. I only stated that maybe this is how it might be. I don't know how it is. If you say something like "so this is how God is?" in response to a statement of maybe and I say maybe, it wasn't the response that wasn't proper, it was asking a stupid question.

Regret you genius..READ the actual statements and respond.

1) The way things are supposed to be...so you beleive in Destiny? Or free will?

2) So let me get the cure to HIV on my own....let me create my own food and steal my own money when im poor on the street......God shouldn't spoil me with such privelages such as food, water, health and shelter

3) This Life matters more than anything, because it is all we know to be true. The afterlife could be a myth for all we know, and even if the afterlife is not a myth it does not lessen this life any more. GOD...this is so sickening......try being a starving child in Africa, and THEN say that life's suffering isn't THAT bad.....

4) People with AIDS don't have enough faith? So how much faith do you have to have? A little doesn't pay off? So the more faith you have, the more God will give a shit, and then use his "magic" to cure your illness? That's the most common excuse Christians ever give.

I believe prayers or answers are given to us all the time, it's just people don't know how to listen.........It comes in unexpected ways. Here are three things you might consider:

1. Time only exists here on earth for us humans. Quantum physics teaches that although everything; every event, every experience, every possibility exists at the same time--in the NOW--man has invented time: the past, the present and the future, to bring some sort of order into these experiences. Religions call this Eternity--the place where time has no beginning and no end.

2. The Law of Attraction teaches us that everything vibrates and every vibration affects all other vibrations. I like the way Abraham-Hicks put it: "Everything vibrates and is communicating, reacting, responding and integrating with other vibrating things." ~Well Being Cards

3. Our subconscious mind is directly connected to the Super Conscious Mind (Source, Higher Power, Inner Being and Holy Spirit) and we are all learning how to translate this information for "human consumption." Remember, the translator is a person with their own agenda, fears and ideas about the meaning of this information.

No WONDOR you're called "Justbyfaith"

You only go "just by faith"....not by logic, reason, discovery, etc. Just Blind Faith.....ah......when will we learn ?

To me, blind faith is believing that everything we see had no design and no designer...no plan and no planner That's blind faith... 😎

Why is believing in no creator a blind faith? Just because you think there should be a creator?

So... giving up your life to something that is intangible is not blind faith... logical? Don't think so. Insane? Quite possibly, yes.

You are correct: blind faith is the unwillingness to look at facts and believe in something with no evidence. Most people who come to the conclusion that there is no god, came to that through looking at the facts.

Not really...

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened."

Romans 1:20-21

Your still walking on Shaky ground...

I always assumed prayers aren't answered, because there is no God. Well, at least that would be my number one solution.

quoting from any ONE book and from only one point of view is really futile........you must research all books and from the actual source, not some propaganda sources

I do not quote scriptures to impress. I quote them because they are rock solid and not on standing Shaky ground. This way, I stand out of the way of the darts and let people deal with God directly. I am not the Judge.

But they are not rock solid, they are a book, like any other book.

Bardock42 beat me to the answer.

You quoting from the bible is to me, the same as me quoting from the Lotus sutra to you; a waist of my time.

You may choose to quote back to me Lotus sutra? Either way, Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. 🙂

Maybe neither would be the best way to go?
