I'm aware there are idiots who spout crap about B, it's a good feature for any hardware to have but not enough to judge it on. I just thought I'd back BD without going on a silly fanboyish rant.
BD is a good thing and the PS3 is a good BD player. If you as a consumer want a gaming device that can play your blu ray movies then it's not a bad shout. It's affordable and it is already confirmed that it's getting 3D BD support. So it's at least a little bit future proofed.
If you're a gamer however (one less interested in HD cinema) get both the 360 and the PS3, both are worth owning., both having exclusives tht justify their purchace... as is the Wii, it's worth it's price tag for Super Mario Galaxy alone.
Whoever wins the console war, it's a win for the consumer. This generation has brought 3 competetive and successful consoles to the market. (Just because the 360 and PS3 haven't pushed the units of the Wii doesn't mean they are not successful.)
Quality titles are being released every month. Which is cool
