that is true, and i acknowledge that, though the technology they are using just makes more sense for this type of controller, it is pretty much just motion capture. though like i said, we wont know until it comes out

Thread sucks.

Everyone has their own opinion which one is the best for them.

All consoles have their own strengths and weaknesses, it's entirely up to the consumer to choose what he prefers amongst them.

I very much agree, people seem to be stuck in their ways. I'll go where the games are,

I own all 3, I have gotten a lot of use out of both my 360 and PS3, they're both good consoles. The Wii simply hasn't appealed to me.

People can say what they want about the use of BD but I really don't see the reason why people are calling for the world to ditch them in favour of DVD... How can DVD be better? Just because a game like Crysis can run off a single DVD doesn't mean that DVD is a better format... It would run off a BD too.

If you want to be fair in the console wars instead of ranting like a mad man then look at each of the components a console offers you and then make an informed decision. People on these forums seem to bash the PS3 for no good reason. (As well as the other way around, but it's more frequent.)

People who have only one or two of the consoles should not be able to even comment on which console is better. It's not an informed decision.

BD is fine. It's the people who think that it makes any game on it somehow magically better(among other things) are the ones that get told. It's not my fault that PS3 has the most wank surrounding it without any seemingly good reason. Wank that can and WILL be debunked as long as I'm on here.

I wouldn't say that the PS3 has the most wank surrounding it. I believe this generation there are more 360 fanboys than PS3 ones. BD has the potential for better quality games, just look at FFXIII as an example. The 360 version had noticible audio and graphical downgrades due to compression.

I think more peoploe are prone to jump on the "Teh PS3 is shit" bandwagon because they seem to fail at shaking off the console's terrible early years.

DS > all

GBA > DS

That's only natural since 360 has more users, but its fanboys tend to be juvenile idiots who say things like: "lolz pos3 is shit olny noobs play o it." It's usually the PS3 fanboys that spew the hardcore bullshit like: "PS3 is a supercomputer" or "everything is better on Blu-ray."

Yes, BD does have the potential for longer games(if you're willing to have a very long development cycle) and uncompressed audio and cutscenes. Though if the compression is done well, the loss of quality will be negligible(especially the audio).

The loss in graphical quality in FF13 was more due to the porting process from a more sophisticated platform to a more streamlined one. Graphics are up to the rest of the hardware to handle, not DVD or Blu-ray.

PROTIP: more sophisticated does not mean better.

There are much more of the latter kind of people that come to KMC by the way.

I'm aware there are idiots who spout crap about B, it's a good feature for any hardware to have but not enough to judge it on. I just thought I'd back BD without going on a silly fanboyish rant.

BD is a good thing and the PS3 is a good BD player. If you as a consumer want a gaming device that can play your blu ray movies then it's not a bad shout. It's affordable and it is already confirmed that it's getting 3D BD support. So it's at least a little bit future proofed.

If you're a gamer however (one less interested in HD cinema) get both the 360 and the PS3, both are worth owning., both having exclusives tht justify their purchace... as is the Wii, it's worth it's price tag for Super Mario Galaxy alone.

Whoever wins the console war, it's a win for the consumer. This generation has brought 3 competetive and successful consoles to the market. (Just because the 360 and PS3 haven't pushed the units of the Wii doesn't mean they are not successful.)

Quality titles are being released every month. Which is cool

😄 Very well said.

Once all of the Wii's major upcoming titles are released its gaming library is going to destroy the PS3's or 360's. With the likes of Xenoblade, Arc Rise Fantasia, Tales of Graces, Dragon Quest X, The Last Story, Trauma Team, the upcoming The Legend of Zelda game, Pikmin 3, Metroid: Other M, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 set to be released you really couldn't ask for a more promising lineup.

except for the fact that of those games all make up the exact same one or two genres: adventure and adventure RPG.

so for people who dont like adventure games, or RPG's, that looks like a very pathetic lineup.

Boy, I sure do miss the days of the PS/PS2, N64, and DC.

Not that that's actually the case (Trauma Team would better fit the description of a visual novel/simulation game, Pikmin 3 a real time strategy game, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 a platformer), but I was directing my post to people who's tastes matter, people who most certainly do like those genres of gaming.

thats all horribly incorrect

Reminds me of an interview I saw with Aisha Tyler.
