the real madrid game was a cracker..owen got on the scoresheet..im proud of him

Yes it was!!! I did hope Beckham would score, he played a good game and deserved to have his name in the score sheet. I imagine Madrilenos were so relieved Raul scored a goal (I know I was; otherwise it could have been the beginning of the end for him). Damn espnstar; aired the match when it was on its 2nd minute already so we didn't see the formation and it didn't air the Rhinieri analysis to make way for, of all things, a figure skating competition! There was guilty pleasure seeing the galacticos bloodied just to win this match...

Oh and may I add it's an absofreakinlutely great start of the week for me as Arsenal beat Boro, and ManUnited lost to Norwich... I'm pretty perky for someone whose teams are just fighting for second... 🤣

Do you remember Higita ?

The colombian Goalkeeper with the scorpian kick ?

England VS. Colombia...... 6/9/1995

The match will always be remembered for Rene Higuta's 'scorpian' save from Redknapp's shot.

haha....yeah i remember that...he also did it not long after the other colombian player got murdered by cocaine barons for scoring an own goal...if he had missed the kick and the ball went in then i have no doubt that higuta would have suffered the same fate

that was a stylish bit of goalkeeping ✅

good win for chelsea...arsing about towards the end though

what about the AC v Inter match...abandoned due to crowd trouble...have to see that as soon as poss

craziness..fans throwing flares..one hit dida on the head...
why the hell do they allow flares into the ground anyway?

dida was asking for it though..he shud of realised when the 4th flare went inside the penalty box..he shud of moved

why should he move though they shouldn't have been throwing flares. IMO inter should be banned from European competitions.

Deano, they DON'T allow flares into the ground! they also don't allow waterbottles with a cap into it either, but it just happened

the club will already get a big fine to pay, and probably get suspended from playing european for a year

terrible scenes but it should have been expected...the italians ran riot in the san siro when the Scotland match was on...running battles with the police...the italian police need to get the situation under control because its getting worse

something else than looking at a sunset huh?

Chelsea and Liverpool, Milan and PSV. Who knew?! Liverpool has been struggling with injury but boy, look at 'em now. Chance to avenge their Carling Cup loss... Inter fans and the club will suffer for the incident yesterday... I wonder if the fates of the German, French and Spanish teams would be the same in World Cup 2006...any one care to guess/analyze?

2nd champions league match this season to be abandoned cause of crowd trouble....both were played in Italy....coincedence ? NO

The italian ultras are becoming even worse than what UK was in the 80s.

During tonights match of Juventus vs. Liverpool, there was a banner in the italian section sayiong: "IL ROCORDO SEMPRE ; IL PERDONO MAI" which translated meant "THE MEMORY ALWAYS ; FORGIVENESS NEVER"

rather stupid as i dont think liverpool fans in heysel meant to go watch a match with the intention of killing a bunch uf juventus fans
