so A.C Milan should have been attacking when Liverpool scored.

liverpool could have easily won the ball back...

trust me if it was AC Milan who had scored a goal like that there would have been loads of coverage of it on thge news ect.

truth is goal shouldn't have stood.

although the way Liverpool were playing at the time i think there would have been a good chance they still would have scored enough.

Oh joy of joys.

The English get to gloat at what is effectively a foreign team winning a trophy. Fantastic.

2 englishmen out of 14 players.

Spanish coach.

They played mince for all but 15 minutes. They hung on well without ever looking like they were interested in anything but penalties.

Large amount of luck involved in both the 2nd and third goals for liverpool, huge amount of luck for Dudek's miracle save. Pens are a lottery.

I don't think AC deserved to lose. They palyed the better football throughout.

I just can't believe Alex Miller, the eejit that ran my beloved Dons intot he ground, has now won the CL. It really boggles the mind.

Strachan, what on earth are you playing at? Celtic, whhhhhhhhhyyyyy?

When wee Gordon played for Aberdeen a Celtic fan ran onto the pitch specifically to attack him, in 2 separate games. The fans hated him. Why manage a team where the fans hated you?

2 AFC legends in charge of the Old Firm. It just isn't right.

what about crespo's second? should that have stood?

i think liverpool (hamann in particular) were amazing in the second half...

they played well enough, and penalties are a lottery, but they're also about bottle...

liverpool had more...

what was wrong with Crespo's 2nd ?

the questionable handball by nesta... its as genuine a reason for an offside that had finished well before liverpool scored their second...

that wasnt handball he was on the floor he couldn't move his arms anywhere.

every team is mostly foriegn...milan only had 4 italians playin aswell

My team isn't mostly foreign.

Last season our first choice 11 had 8 Scots, a Finn, an Irishman and an Englishman.

Anyway, I have no objection to Liverpool fans gloating. Just the fools who are under the impression that they are an English team.

Utter rubbish.

Luck plays a part in most football games. It is always a factor. To say Liverpool were lucky would be redundant.

The goals were intended, therefore any luck that was involved in the goal was secondary to the actual skill that netted the damn ball. The proof is in the pudding. Liverpool scored the most goals. Why can't people just accept that at face value and stop over analysing everything? Sure, AC Milan played better, in the first half definitely, but to say Liverpools three goal comeback against such a force is down to luck is highly ignorant.

How can it be luck that made Dudek make his saves? Could it be *shock* that maybe AC Milan were taking some crappy shots and were simply not good enough? If they were so good why didn't they get into better positions and score the penalties they needed?

I didn't say Liverpool didn't deserve to win.

I said AC didn't deserve to lose.

The ref not seeing the linesman flag for offside in the run up to Liverpool's 2nd. The penalty decision was shocking. If AC got the same one up the other end the commentators would've been bitching for ages. Dudek didn't have a clue about the "miracle" save. All three incidents were lucky for liverpool. Shootouts are a lottery by nature.

I think "it's better to be lucky than good" sums it up.

It's the unpredictability that makes football the best sport in the world. It'd be boring if the best team won all the time.
