Southampton played TO Crouch. Their gameplan was essentially getting the ball to him.

Why are you branding Argentina because of Sorin? You call them racist but you're actually sitting there subscribing to an old English stereotype of Argentina because of one player. Don't be such a hypocrite. Sorin is also a great player, better than most of England's players over the past decade.

Why get behind "the boys"? It's not a war, it's a football game and I don't enjoy watching them. If Sven concentrated on honing the skills of good players then they'd have a sporting chance, but he insists of keeping within his little group of favourites that consists of persil salesmen and celebrities. They're gonna get trashed when they play Brazil and I'm going to laugh my face off. Don't like that? Tough.

i want england to win and do well, thats the fun and excitement of football. just as you are passionate about music. if that means being a typical patriotic brit in your eyes then so be it. i'll be cheering them on come 2006 while you will probably be slagging them off and cheering for brazil or argentina.

I agree. IMO you could never make it as a pro in any sport if when you lost you just thought 'ahh well it's only a game'
