it's true, just gotta get a point at Liverpool to keep ourselves ahead of them, then we have Aston Villa and Fulham (shouldnt be that tough *touch wood*)... although they have 3 straight simple games coming up... still, if we get 7points and they get 12 (including their game in hand), we will still be ahead of them by a point.
i am confident we can get Champions League position, but even if we don't i'll be happy with EUFA Cup qualification, you have to remember Tottenham were a very mid-table team a season and a half ago

uefa spot woudnt be too bad. next season is where spurs will need to show there bottle
i am still very optimistic though.
hopefully in this transfer window we will buy a centre back, a left back (god knows why we sold Erik Edman, and loaned out Reto Zeigler) and a prolific 20-30goals a season striker (Dirk Kuyt perhaps)
either that or Zeigler is recalled from loan, Gardner somehow steps up his game by a mile and Defoe gets his act together

That how i feel to, being a Spurs fan for nearly 30yrs you kind of expect mediocrity. You dont expect to get relegated but you dont expect to challenge for the league title either. If they can build on what has been a strong season this year, i'll be happy.
OMG Liverpool are Top Team of 2005

I was just wondering whether anyone here has seen Barcelona's Lionel Messi play? I keep reading that he is an incredible player - most recently from Capello: "Messi is brilliant in everything he does. I have never seen an 18-year-old player like him." - but I am yet to see him play with my own eyeballs...
Where I live, it's difficult to get any Spanish football, but I'd be interersted if anyone can direct me to some clips of Messi dazzling...
PS. Spurs will win the league next season.

You can do what I do and watch games on PC, chinease have online tv channels and you can watch any game.
What did you make of the Spurs vs Liverpool game Df02? I thought it was pretty even in midfield, Liverpool seemed to make a few more chances and probably deserved to edge it. The only thing that pissed me off was that blatant dive by Kewell to get Stalteri sent off, he never touched him. Thats the sort of crap that really turns me off Football sometimes, what happened to it being a mans game instead of fairies throwing themselves on the ground trying to con the ref?

Yeah, Messi is amazing. Smokes Rooney in my opinion.
In fact, this whole 'Rooney is going to win us the WC' thing is getting a bit stupid.
