i honestly dont understand it... how? theyve never won the world cup, only ever got to the semi final once, the highlight of their normal year is Mexico and they have no truly world class players.
its a fix, and the worst bit is everyone knows it

us americans are so awesome at saaarker.
That was actually quite funny.
I have actually taken the time to watch a couple of American club games when they were on Sky Sports or Channel 5, solely because I saw no point in dissing without viewing.
They really have no concept of how the game is played really. Not properly. Some dude was on the edge of the box and the keeper came running out to try and tackle the man.
That said, I think it's extremely stupid and out of order for the English tabloids and most of the commentators to ridicule them purely based on the fact that they don't take football as life and death. I remember Ian Wright and John Motson dissing them, and I thought "It's not a bad thing that they don't take football as serious as the English majority."

i dont insult them because they dont take it seriously... i insult them for the following reasons:
-they change all the terms to fit their bastardized (sic) language.
-they really don't have a clue how to play
-they're pretty damn rubbish at it, unless you count womens football.
-theyre somehow tabled as the 5th best team in the world.. god knows how.
i seriously beleive USA were bumped up the table a few dozen spaces purely to build public interest overseas, because everyone knows americans arent interested in things they arent good at, it's why they invent their own rubbish sports to dominate... even though they arent even the best at Baseball now... well done Japan and Cuba

Davids is clearly too old now, let alone in 07. haha
But we're likely to sign Messi, Robben, Van Nistelrooy and Ronaldinho?
Silly Billy.

On the subject of some nations not quite getting it, you should try listening to the Chinese commentary of Premiership games over here. All they ever say is "Hao chou!" ('Good ball'😉, or laugh when someone makes a mistake or suffers a really bad tackle. There's a magic button on the remote that lets you switch to the original English commentary, but it doesn't work in the area I live in.
Monkey-f*ck-wanks!

i was curious why you'd have him in your ideal tottenham lineup for 07 seeing as how he is playing rubbish atm, and the only benefit he has given spurs is a psychological boost.
he's clearly not fit, and at 35ish he's not going to be the world class player he was ever again... doesnt stop me loving the fact he plays for us haha

I left him there for nostalgia, and the fact that he looks like the Predator.
funny you should mention that actually, i was talking to a mate about that the other day haha... he does!
Nostalgia haha? he'd have only been there a season and a bit.
ideal spurs lineup for 07 (its possible too)
-----------------Robinson---------------
Trabelsi-----King----Dawson------Lee
----------Ghaly--------Carrick----------
---Jenas-------------------------Tainio--
-----------Torres-------Defoe-----------
Subs: Cerny, Stalteri, Huddlestone, Lennon, Mido

That's pretty unexciting. Where's Ronaldinho? Messi, hel-lo? Robben? Van Nistelrooy, anyone? Are you saying they wouldn't even get a place on the bench?!?!
In the words of Victor Von Doom:
Bit ambitious.Did I say 'bit'? Meant 'amazingly', and all its synonyms.
Also, have you noticed I was right about our right-back issue? Yay for me! Yay for me! I told you all that we'd buy a better right-back! Yay! I feel vindicated! Yay!

i dont think we necessarily needed a better right back... Stalteri is ok, and Stephen Kelly is good and young as well. But when you get Hatem Trabelsi for free you arent gonna turn him down.
i was making a realistic Spurs squad though haha 😉
Oh, dear. Are you really trying to argue against an improvement? That's a bit silly.
Also, I think you'll find that Tainio won't be first choice that frequently next season...Juan Arango will probably take his place. Oh, and one more thing...Davids will still be pretty prominent next season, too.
You read it here first! Turn to the East as the West sun sets...

if you didnt have a ridiculous attitude problem you'd notice i wasnt arguing against improvement haha... i was saying we have 2 good rightbacks already (Stalteri can play left back as well and Stephen Kelly is soo underrated... plus we're getting Reto Zeigler back at the end of the season, who i rate no end.) but if we get Trabelsi free it's all good because he's awesome and trumps them all, great right-back, if not a touch on the attack-minded side. id rather have Andoni Iraola if we're making fantasy teams though haha 😉
i think Tainio is a great player, high energy levels, good with both feet, can tackle, can shoot, good at interlocking play... but yea im not 100% sure he'll feature all the time next season anyway.
Davids will be prominent yea, but i hope he gets back on form, his last few performances have been dismal... Jol is clearly playing him unfit, which just leaves us with dead weight... he is, however, a huge influence on the team psychologically and could be in the team on those grounds alone.

I think you're having langauge trouble again, aren't you? Yes, you are. Do you want me to explain again? I will if you'd like me to...(Hint #1: You said we don't necessarily need a better right-back. Hint #2: You just stated why he'd be an improvement above. Hint #3: No more hints. It's up to you, Smart Kid.)

Woah! That's a bit of a change from this:

What made you change your mind in the space of a few hours? Did he have a really good training session?

its funny how you try the mocking undertones to cover up a poor argument, it's not gonna annoy me, may as well try a different tactic now.
i said we have good rightbacks... yes, you're correct.
i said Trabelsi would be a good improvment... yes, correct again.
however, i also said it's all good if we get him free.... yea... missed that bit didnt you... we have other positions that need topping up more urgently, like reserve Centreback for instance.
how are my Davids statements reall that different?
i said Davids is too old now let alone in 07... how is that different from saying Davids looks unfit and isnt performing well? theyre both derogatory, it's not really a massive opinion change, i've just gone from saying he's too old, to being more specific and saying he's performing poorly and is unfit... please explain i wanna hear it, since you think im stupid haha.
