Milan have featured in the champions league final twice in 3 years, thats pretty glorious even if they havent won it.
They also carry decent Italian players; Gilardino, Nesta, Gatusso, Pirlo, Ambrosini...

Milan are a great club, now and in the past.

Nesta is good. Gattuso is quite good.

Italian players will never cease to be overrated for some reason.

Like I said I dont know why your pissed?

Maybe you do suck dick or you just suck Arsenals dick

I'm not pissed, you're strolling about this thread talking about sucking dick as if it's your passtime. You're the one who hyped up Juventus to the degree that if you got on your knees any further it would have been beyond PG-13. Your posts are more or less "Yes Mr. Juventus Player. Of course it smells good! Shall I flush that for you, Sir?"

The team you hyped got whooped, end of.

can you honestly say Juventus played with 100% commitment and ability in that game? you couldnt because they didnt, they were poor, they just didnt look interested at all, no pressing, no urgency... nothing, and because of that Arsenal were able to perform brilliantly.

On the whole i dont think Arsenal are a better team than Juventus, they were today because they were at their best and juventus werent.

First, it's a past glory isn't it? I was referencing it. How relevant is it? Not at all. About as relevant to the Champions League as Arsenal's placing in the Premier League. Arsenal are in sixth because they had a very, very shit period that I'm in no position to deny. Had they been at this level from the start, Tottenham certainly wouldn't have 4th. So bringing up an admittedly shit period just because you (not you, him) don't have anything else you can say due to making a dumb comment that turned out to be false, is stupid.

EL_NINO claimed that they were so good that they are whooping the Serie A without even trying, as if they didn't need to try. As soon as they play and get whooped, his excuse is "They didn't try." I thought they didn't need to?

Typical Anti-Arsenal, pro-whoever else argument, anyway.

"They didn't play their best." Is that what you're going to say everytime Arsenal whoop an overrated team? Most juvenile argument in the book.

It's because Juventus conducted theirselves in such a way that they are shit, and it's because they are getting away with it thanks to people like you and El_Nino that they are overrated.

they have 3 brilliant young midfielders coming through atm though, Daniele De Rossi (Roma, 21), Alberto(?) Aquilani (Roma, 19 i think) and Angelo Palombo (Sampdoria, 21).

Italy just never perform internationally

Oh please what if Arsenal had lost then what would you have said AC? "Arsenal didnt play well"

right after the 15 minute mark you can easily see which team really wants to win and Juventus to me didnt seem like they wanted to play

When Arsenal play shit, I say they play shit. I've said it on this very board many times. Because unlike you, I don't actually hold a desire to fellate certain players.

Juventus will win no doubt about that... They havent even been trying in Serie A as of late and are still winning.

You said Juve were so good they didn't need to try. When they lose, your excuse is "They didn't try." What happened to being able to win without trying? That soon went out the window didn't it? They came up against a team that are quite simply better than they are and they didn't have what it took to beat them, so they resorted to acting like spoiled little kids and now have to enter the second leg with three crucial players missing.

You overhyped them and they got whooped, now- on the back foot- you're scrambling for excuses. Shhh.

sorry, i mixed you up with VVD for the past glories remark. anyway.

im not anti-arsenal, ive said that often enough on here.
Juventus didnt play their best, as close to a fact as can be made with reference to performance in a football game. and ive described why i think they didnt play their best before (lack of urgency etc)... however i didnt say Arsenal didnt play well.
I've also submitted that Arsenal are in great form now and that theyll probably take 4th spot...

Ive also never given the impression that id say that for every time Arsenal beat someone you think are overrated... If Arsenal played Juventus and both teams played at their peak, i'd concede that Arsenal were the better team, but Juventus played seriously below par...

Im curious whether you've actually seen Juventus perform at their best this season, because no matter what you might say you can't perform badly in Serie A and get a big lead at the top, they are, as much as you wont like to admit it, a great team with great players.

Its true I said Juve would win... then I was wrong so Game 1 goes to Arsenal.

However I never said Juve were so good that they didnt even need to try, your twisting my words now. If thats the message you got then I should have reword it because it wasnt meant to be seen as such. All I did was mention that they have been winning games without even trying.

I've seen Juventus perform at their best plenty of times, I think they're extremely overrated, not shit. They're not out there playing Barcalona level clubs. Their main competition comes from where? Inter and AC Milan, who are both not on the best of forms and both overrated also. The rest are nobodies.

I'm not going to admit that they are some wonder team because they're not, in my opinion. Viera is, as we saw tonight, getting over the hill and past it. Buffon will be claiming his pension pretty soon, Trezeguet is as reliably consistant as the lottery, Del Piero is the Italian Raul.

I'm still going Arsenal v Barca.

If not, Lyon v Arsenal.

lauren will be benched i think.
i agree arsenal vs barcelona. that would be a dream final

Well, Zebina gave shit passes, giving the ball away.

Ibrahimovic didnt serve adequatly and tried to dribble a formidable defense line. He did too much running with the ball when he should have opted for diversing the attention on him and then serving Emerson, Zambrotta or Mutu.

Camoranesi marked well but commited himself too much in the tackls. He could have been a little bit more conseravative in his tackels and his first yellow card early on in the match conditioned his play.

Viera, personally I dont like, as in Italy he seems to get away with all the fouls. Tonaight he played average.

Mutu had potential but even he was tied down by the defense along with Zambrotta who both struggled along that left flank to make any penetration. Instad they opted to launch long balls, a strategy that works only by having a distracted defense.

Emerson didnt seem to have any motivation whatsoever.

I think the ones that could be spared were Buffon, Cannavaro and Thuram.
I never noticed Chiellini, except for a tackle and a foul. I dont think Arsenal used that flank of the pitch too much.

Overall Juve did not play as a team. Too many long balls and too little help from eachother.

They're not winning games without trying are they? This is exactly why you're overrating them.

You cannot go out and win a game without trying. Stop being silly.

You're acting as if they go out there in the mind set of "Ok lads, let's have a kick about." They don't, they're just good enough to go out, play ok and beat shit teams.

Werder Bremen knocked the stuffing out of them and it was only due to their retarded keeper that they poached the win. Werder Bremen.

The one real good time Juventus spent in Arsenal's box was wasted when two of their players attempted volleys and both of them missed the ball entirely.

Great team, definitely worthy of all you've said (Sarcasm).

i think they are better than juventus. they showed it tonight.
i woudnt swap one arsneal player for a juventus player. arsenal have such a bright future. juventus are getting old. juventus just coudnt cope because they wernt good enough. arsenel on form can beat anyone

I agree with you Df02... Arsenal had a great defensive plan while Juventus didtn seem like they wanted to play at all

thats bullshit. how can you not want to play? of course they did want to play. it was the quarter finals. but they coudnt play because arsenal was too good for them.

Honestly tho you gotta start being realistic and think back. While watching the game did you even think or ask yourself "hey Juventus is playing terrible how come?" I did after watching 10 minutes of playing then I said Arsenal is play great defense and Henry along with Reyes and Pires are doing most of the work

Precisely.

Also, that's exactly my point. "How are they overrated? Just didn't try."

That's how, with comments like that.

I didn't ask myself that because I didn't think Juventus are incapable of playing like utter shit. You obviously did.

Then again, you think Juventus win without trying, so there's hardly any credibility to your claims. Don't talk about realism if you're coming with bs like that.

Its a figure of speach especially when I say "IT SEEMS LIKE THEY DIDNT WANT TO PLAY". Im not gonna deny that Juve played like shit because they did. My orignal argument is that Serie A is better than Premier league and thats what I will leave it at because Im done arguing over a game thats over and for something that we agree on.

yeh i agree AC. juventus are a good team but are getting past it. the same applies to real madrid.

ill continue or concede this argument after the replay, i personally beleive Juventus are better than Arsenal... werent tonight, but at their best are.

I also dont beleive Milan are overrated, i mean noone here is saying theyre the best team in the world... but they are a quality club, i think progressing to the champions league later stages and finishing high in their league for the last half dozen seasons is pretty good proof of that.

lol its not better. you may like slow build up play and dull games. but id prefer fast, fluent attacking football provided by the spanish and english leagues.
the italian leagues rarely produce those games
