Del Piero has had more than just the 3 good matches in the '90's. Lets say at least a whole season and with his recent performance as a 3/4, behind the strikers, he is proving to be that versatile attacking player.
He was unlucky, when he picked up an injury in the late ninties and on his return, fans expected him to perform miracles.
And no, if you look at recent Italian teams performances in champion's league, you can actually see that Italian teams have a good record of passing from the group stages and advancing towards the 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, Finals.

I never said the Premiership is the best league.. I just said it is better than the Italian league.. Personally I think La Liga is the best league.
i watch the spanish league whenever i can, along with Jleague, Kleague, premiership and highlights of the argentinian league when its on.
the kleague and jleague are probably the most entertaining, but i think overall the Premiership is the best, noce combination of speed, technical ability and physical elements

There are more teams worth watching in the Premier League than there are in the Italian or German league, Spanish league too probably.
Italian teams are so overrated purely because all their best players aren't even Italian. Same as Barca, what great Spanish players have they got?

id say the spanish has the most teams worth casually watching, Barcelona, R.Madrid, A.Madrid, Villareal, A Bilbao all always put on entertaining performances... just the Spanish league annoys me because it's soo non-contact.
which reminds me, Reyes is a dirty player haha... as dirty as Drogba, the Real Madrid match being a prime example, he gets tackled... dives... and purposefully rolls onto the pitch to waste time. he pulled off a few foul-drawing maneuvers today as well, along with a bit of simulation.
