Liverpool deserved to win that game. Carragher, Finnan and Kuyt were really excellent. Kind of a shame to lose Barca so early, but can't say I'm all that suprised. From what I saw of Chelsea's game, they got lucky.

Can't believe Lyon lost to Roma, that does not please me.

Liverpool won.

People are gonna get chinned.

Them it, Barcelona lost(crying), only left now is Arsenal and they can barely manege a first team, yet alone substitutes.
And I'm not that surprised about Lyon, they wore playing pretty inconsistently, with some rely bad games.

i was wondering why i couldnt find anything about the match.

i am surpised about lyon actually, roma hasnt been playing all that great lately and despite not playing as well as they had been earlier in the season lyon won their last couple games pretty easily.

Not happy about Lyon going out, they were my pick.

I know it sucks.. I really like watching Lyon play... good news is if an British team get through *fingers crossed for Man Utd tonight* and play Roma then they should beat them quite comfortably.

whys that? because italians are pussys?

not easily Roma are a good side, and Man U seem to running low on strikers with only Rooney fit...

Both Arsenal and Barcelona are out of the competition, bad season for me, only thing left is for Barcelona to retain Spanish league and they are in bad form, really hope they buy Dani Alves, they need younger full backs.

United really need to start getting their act together. They didn't play well against Lille in both matches and that disappoints me. This has been a great season for us but our performances are starting to slip and the injurys are starting to come in which doesn't help. If we can get Smith back to full fitness and Rooney playing upfront and not left or right wing then we wont need to worry about Striker problems.

As for Barcelona, what the heck! They played terrible against Liverpool, they all played like individuals and in the end got what they deserved.

I picked out Valencia as champions of Europe ages ago.....glad my prediction is still possible

Real Madrid?? Barcelona?? Paah!!! Only one Spanish side left flying the flag!!! Valencia are a solid side with a world class strike force, I see them going all the way

No just because the 3 teams left from England have better quality players than them.

I said 'quite comfortably'.. not easily Roma are a good team.. but If Man Utd/Chelsea or Liverpool play well against them, then they should win.

My pick (Chelsea) look even stronger after some of those exits. It's not that I actually want them to win, but their big name players will always step it up in these one-off games. Plus, seeing as they ain't gonna win the Premiership, they'll be even more determined. Just you watch, my cocker.

Champions League draw:

Quarter-final draw:
AC Milan v Bayern Munich
PSV Eindhoven v LIVERPOOL
Roma v MANCHESTER UNITED
CHELSEA v Valencia

(First legs to be played on 3/4 April and second legs on 10/11 April)

Semi-final draw:
CHELSEA or Valencia v PSV Eindhoven or LIVERPOOL
Roma or MANCHESTER UNITED v AC Milan or Bayern Munich

(First legs to be played on 24/25 April and second legs on 1/2 May)

I think Chelsea will take this as well for basically the same reasons.

Lille went out.

Personally, I think it's all Chelsea now.

Though Man Utd have the luck factor.

yeah if they keep getting the luck and start playing better i think they can take it, they definitely have the goals in them and their defendings alright.

Although if C. Ronaldo goes down, so does the season.

Todays game left me extremely frustrated. We just can't finish off teams and it has cost us an extra game. We can't afford this, especially with the injuries building up and the title race being far from over.

Ronaldo needs to become more of a "team" player and start getting high crosses in and work for the ball cutting out the tricks. Carrick and O'Shea, two defensive midfields do not work for us, we are always balanced with Scholes in the center and we missed him today.

United really need to get their acts together or we're going to throw away everything!
