If England lose, it'll be put down to anything but the fact that they are, and have been for many years, a very shit team.If they win, they'll become one of the best teams in the world who once again have a chance at winning anything, then subsequently win nothing.

well that hit the nail on the head.
I wonder if the fact that both teams are fielding a lot of "B" players will add anything special to the game.
I think England will get stuffed 1:4 or something, the Germans will want revenge for the 5:1 in Munich.
Oh well if you consider the pool of players to choose from in both countries, Germany should win anyway. Only Brazil has a larger pool of active players that Germany .

that was retarded, malouda was in the air way before he got anywhere near whoever 'took him down'.
video replay man, football needs to look at every other sport in the world and realize they are way behind the times. that breaking the flow of the game argument is bullshit, it would take 1 minute for an official to decide and all they need it for are penalties and goal line decisions. thats at least 2 games this season already that would have had different outcomes if the right call was made.

Football would get boring if you brought video replay in for penalty decisions, if that happens then you would have to have it for offsides.. then fouls.. and stuff.
Goal line technology yeah but I don't want anything else.
But todays technology is rather advanced, and theres lots od mniney flying about in football. Surely some computerized fancy stuff could improve things.
You have one ref watching the video, and the play is left to carry on after close off sides and foul decisions, until the balls out.. The "vid ref" talks through his mike and lets the main ref know "foul" or "offside" and the main ref can quickly carry out the appropriate actions.
Those 2 points could cost Liverpool the title or a CL place.

Is Kevin-Prince Boateng in the Germany squad, anyone know?...
Yeah, him and Uwe Rosler up front.

If you believe any country besides England would bear such a long grudge over a loss, you'd be mistaken.
Just because England still consider that one victory a crowning moment in their entire history, doesn't mean the Germans view it as some crippling notch.
Motson listed a pathetic amount of needed talent missing from Germany's team tonight and then foolishly tried suggesting England are lacking the same amount, a.k.a Rooney, who hasn't scored for 36 odd months.
Still, the one goal lead should be held as long as England's number one is in goal...wait.

Yeah, I'm sure the teams who get screwed by wrong decisions will avoid advancements in technology for your benefit.
Remember, football can be entertaining, but it's not a form of entertainment primarily. They aren't out there to entertain, just play and win. If any sensible team had to choose between football being seen as "boring" with all technology, or actual bad decision-preventing technology, they'd hopefully choose the latter.

Micah Richards, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joe Cole, Nicky Shorey and (seriously) Frank Lampard were good tonight. Richards in particular looks like a potentially world class player. But until England grasp the concept of fluid, team play (unlikely under Mclaren) individual excellence will come to nothing. They lost to a German B team tonight.
Why are players like Kieron Dyer, Downing and Phil Neville in the squad whilst Joleon Lescott, Matt Derbyshire and Jermaine Pennant don't even get a look in?

because unlike american football... football doesnt stop every 5seconds.
I understand that, but something important like an foul in the penalty box, wouldnt it be nice to have that option to see if the referee got it right?
It takes two minutes to review it, and then the play goes on.

the game would be less exciting if you had to stop to review decisions... human error just adds spice to the game.

It's unlikely under ANYONE it seems. Also, I don't get why it's accepted to believe Lampard is shit now.
Bent should be in the squad ahead of most people. Wright-Phillips, Lennon and Bent all get left out in favour of mugs.

I honestly don't know what SWP has to do to get into the England team, he is a much more diverse, energetic and threatening player than Beckham... but I suppose he doesn't look as pretty or rustle up more empathy.

Correct 😱
What happened to Robinson last night, was he daydreaming or what, it looked like "oh a ball, shit better do something I know I´ll do a volley ball pass to a German player (well Kuranyi isn´t actually German, (born in Rio de Janeiro, German-Hungarian father and a Panamanian mother. )"
Germany's second goal was brilliant.
I think England played well but Germany looked better on the ball with short quick 1 touch football, England took too long to go forward.
Micah Richards was brilliant, I can´t believe he´s so young yet plays with so much experience and dominance. Should be in the team for good imo.
Whats with Theo Walcott? surely if your good enough your old enough or was he injured?
