did anybody actually watch the liverpool game? im not saying they played like shit but half of the goals were complete luck.
benayoun had the ball drop at his feet twice in front of an open goal and the ball actually bounced off babels back and rainbowed over the keeper into the back of the net off of a clearance. crouch had like 3 lucky lucky bounces before he could put the first one away.
Exactly.
Results matter, I'm not denying it. At the end of the match, that's what counts. Sometimes the result can be tainted by a bad call, a call not made or whatever.
I just think that when making calls as to who are the better team, you can't focus on results too much. That's like judging musical quality by record sales.
I support Brazil, but I'm not gonna sit here and say they were the best team in the World Cup just because they have been the best team more than any other. They weren't.

this is a good lot of great topics-
This years arsenal is a delight to watch, if at the exact same time I had to chose between a Chelsea Vs Man Utd Match and a Arsenal vs (say...) Fulham, I would be keen to watch the arsenal match because them youngtsers are stealing the show everytime they step onto the pitch, its a marvel to watch.
Every Saturday at my local boozer they have the spanish league on skysports and I watch Barcelona and its a joy, but its great to see more great football in the english league week in week out.
Chelsea have had their chance at the title and I think its over for this season unless they start winning against arsenal and Man Utd - that will be huge deciders.
Liverpool 8 - 0 against Beskitas, I applaud the result but it does show that they LOST to a team they can beat so easily. I didn't watch the game but did see the goal highlights and 4 of the goals were sheer luck at the time with passing and the ball landing where a player wanted.
I will stick with my prediction that Man Utd will win the league although thats them back with injury problems up front with Rooney out for 4 weeks. Saha lacks a bit of match fitness nowadays and Tevez will be the one to look to for goals.
Well after matchday 4 I am still not convinced of which team will win the Champions League, Barca WERE favourites but after seeing them against Rangers in both ties doesnt appeal to me, Madrid are 50/50 with results nowadays and AC have a far too easy group. Inter are always giving away easy goals and their team are pushing on a bit, Man Utd seem to cock up somewhere although last season I was sure they would see off Milan but Man Utd didnt turn up to the San Siro that night.
Discos - I think we are in for a Porto Vs Monaco final of the 2004 year, as in it will be 2 teams no one would have put in their top 10 to reach the final.
what I hope will happen, 7th minute....Gattuso slides in from behind and clear takes out Scott Brown (who will get back up and be fine), Gattuso gets sent off...
Scotland wait the game out....87th minute, Fletcher is brought down in the box and KRIS BOYD steps up for the penalty and blasts scotland to the euros....1-0 scotland.
Crazy prediction I know....I am not a fan of Boyds but I do believe that by the 87th minute Miller + McFadden will have been subbed and I pray Fletcher doesnt take it.
I will be at the Game, i'll post a photo of my sexy "goldust" ticket, Its gonna be a day to remember.
Discos - whatever happens, I will be cheering at the end as It has been the greatest Campaign for scotland in recent memory. Cheers Lads.
