gerard was playing pretty well actually, rafa took him off because he wanted to rest him for the game on tuesday.

I aint being funny, but giving a player 20 minutes of rest when their is about 90+hours to the next game is a bit lame.

I may have to retract my comment a bit about how Gerrard wasnt doing anything...they say he was the only midfielders pushing forward.

From what I saw Sissoko was pants,

whoa, Middlesbrough is winning 2-0 against Arsenal, its the 75th minute, thunk Middlesbrough scored their 2nd in the 70th.

Whats the deal with the big teams losing when they are on TV this week?

That was pathetic. Arsenal need to raise their game in the absence of their creative players, and battle more.

Wait, I mean, the ref was cheating, scored two goals for them and that.

A lot of big teams did bad this weekend. Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, Hamburg maybe the moons having an odd affect on the top teams.

Mainly, they had three away games in a week, while missing their four key non-defenders.

Man Utd lost to Bolton the other week, Liverpool yesterday, Chelsea to Villa. It's not a massive deal, but a win would have obviously been preferable.

Arsenal have had a little slip-up, but it's only so apparent because the other teams have caught up a little. The reason they had to catch up in the first place was that they have already slipped up themselves.

I was a bit worried by the performance though. No creativity or endeavour.

meh thats football, I am fed up of people saying the top 4 have to win all their games, Middlesburgh plaed a good game, Reading yesterday were magic - a joy to watch. Just more noticable becuase they were playing Liverpool.

Big teams lose, big deal....

All the games like the FA cup, champions league/eufa etc must have a negative effect on the fitness.,

tell that to benitez

I'm sure I would tell him something other than that if I were lucky enough to meet him.

Yeah playing football manager and being in the uefa cup, scottish cut and scottish league cup as well as a campaign in the League just drains my players....it must be a sickener for players giving perhaps a 10month run to every final and come runner-up...OUCH

Liverpools group looks interesting tonight (CL), all teams can go through.

Looking good for Liverpool, Marsielle 0:2 Liverpool nearly half time and Gerrard missed a penalty🙂

3-0 liverpool the last time i seen,

chelsea were 0-0 as well.

aint sure about full time results, watching something I recorded yesterday

Discos - Madrid 3-0 against Lazio

Gerrard missed a penalty🙂

yeah but he scored on the rebound. torres scored the goal of the week so far, he makes it look so easy.

He made it look so easy.

Against Newcastle he was useless.

When the going gets tough when the tunnel gets thin LIVERPOOL rise to the challenge 0:4 away, the rest of Europe be prepared to be CONQUERED

That's the spirit.

there is a big row in Scotland, STV (scotland's ITV) were scheduled to show the liverpool game....a big game with high stakes, win or bust. But they changed it to the boring and pointless Chelsea game.

I wasnt bothered, I could of watched any game, noticed the Liverpool game was on ITV London - I watched the Real game anyways.

Your Lucky, I live in Germany and they don´t show sod all unless German teams are involved, and seeing as they normally go out early its pretty pathetic. That and the idiotic commentary where they talk about "Bayern Munich" all the time no matter who´s playing is rather annoying.

dude that must suck.

It's happening far too much nowadays, alot of English people I know were growing tired of the Israel vs Russia game as all they did was ENGLAND-IZE it.

erm..is it Shalke who is still in the last 16?

I did watch the German league closely at the end of last season as the media were baffled at how Bayern were 4th.

Yeh its annoying how some commentators who have never kicked a ball can talk so much crap, ask daft questions etc.

I watch the Bundesliga some times, mostly the highlights as its boring football. Schalke 04 made it, but they won´t get far they are a yoyo team.

I wish more Managers and players would reply like this:- see video:-

(especially at 1:11)

YouTube video

haha yeah Strachan is a neep with interviewers, he gives it straight tho. You can say all you want about Mourinho giving it "all that" but Strachan is on another level.

He gets on my nerves sometimes tho.

Discos - always funny to watch the highlights of him on the touchline.
