I wonder what causes all Man Utd fans to feel they have a divine right to the top of the league. They're like the microcosm of fans of the England football team.

Derby first, which is a guaranteed win for any respectable team, then Bolton.

Arsenal have Middlesbrough next, I think. The final games look like there could be some banana skins in there for both Arsenal and Man Utd.

man united were just unlucky and portsmouth very lucky in my opinion.

so am i the only one who thinks cardiff will win the FA cup?

yes you are... but i'd like to see them win it living not too far away from cardiff.

At least we can all be happy we don't support West Ham Utd, who everyone has beaten 4-0. Except Manche...oops.

Hey, that's not true! Only the good teams beat West Ham 4-0.

(Arsenal beat them 2-0)

We also beat Wigan 4-0. They're easy.

Wigan don't take nine years to pull a good result out against Arsenal, though.

Don't be bitter. It was only one game, son.

Joking aside (not joking), what do you Gooners think of Bendtner?

He has a way to go, but if he can get there he could be Don Bendtner.

Thoughts?
I think it's pathetic tbh, if the FA are allowing Cardiff, Wrexham, Swansea etc to play in the English Football League system they should be prepared to apply the same rules to those clubs as every other club.

two hypotheticals;
- Cardiff get promoted and choose to play in the Welsh cup, being a premiership side they invariably win it pretty much every season, effectively guaranteeing them european football every season, the money grows and the club gains an unfair advantage.
- Cardiff out-do Reading and get promoted and finish 7th the next season, which should put them into the UEFA cup, but they can't because they're welsh, which gives every other team an unfair advantage.

If Cardiff are playing in the English leagues, they should be covered by English league rules.

That's silly. If they're playing in the English leagues then they should be allowed to represent England in UEFA.

They'll be better than half the teams as well.

Another thing;

What do people think of all this bs about the "magic" of the F.A. Cup?

Does anybody actually give a shit now that the big teams aren't in it?

-AC

I give more of a shit.

I care more now they arent in it, I havent watched the FA cup final the last few years because I have't cared who won it, you may support a top 4 club AC, but not everyone in England does.

I'd agree if it was like, Man City, Blackburn, Villa etc.

Those teams that aren't dire shit, but aren't amazingly good and can have a surprise good match.

It's Cardiff and Barnsley though.

-AC

Yeah, I think some (a lot of) English people are retarded: "Oh, it's good for the FA Cup that a bunch of shit teams got lucky, and made it through to the semis!"...Why's that good? You like watching shit teams? Admittedly, Barnsley deserved to beat Chelsea, but none of those semi-finals are "mouth-watering".

Talking of retarded English people, does anyone else listen to the 606 Football Phone-in podcast? Dear gods...I want to stab things in my eyes.

Talking of podcats, how funny is Guardian Unlimited's Football Weekly? Answer: A lot many. Also, I listen to timesonline's The Game, but only because I like to curl my toes occasionally.

And you?

The FA cup is one of the most famous trophies in world sport and the fact that a lower league team won it draws more attention to the facets of the English game outside the top flight. It can only help lower league football to have one of their own win the FA cup, or even make the final... For one it injects more money into the lower divisions.

F*ck the lower divisions! They're all full of retards!

I don't listen to the 606 podcast, but I hear it live sometimes. The man's a ****. He's just there to goad people into phoning.

The Football Weekly one is good. Haven't heard the other.
