I want to know why Wigan laid out a brand new turf for Man Utd, when other teams have played them in a ditch. Might as well have made the strip coming from the tunnel red and been done with it.

still top scorer in the prem though isnt he. im sure he doesnt care what people think of him

That would be why he would have been in Real Madrid now if Fergie had not convinced him to stay, amidst the torrents of abuse.

Wenger is said to be close to signing Lyon winger Hatem Ben Arfa, Valencia duo Carlos Marchena and Raul Albiol as well as Stuttgart's German striker Mario Gomez. What does everyone thinks of these moves?

All fictional, in my opinion.

Hypothetically, they'd all be good signings.

I think Arsenal are stuck in a Yossarian-esque situation. Obviously they feel they need to improve their squad, so they want to buy ambitious players who will help them win something, but any player moving there can't be very ambitious because they haven't won anything for years - and seeing as they choke when it matters, they are unlikely to do so in the future!

It really is quite a perplexing situation.

Bit like spurs really..

Well Mario Gomez is top class, has everything Pace, bothfootedness(🙂)
heading, and really is ice cold in front of goal. He´s also young so can be "fromed" into Wengers style of play, but I´d go for Diego or Ribery if he can afford em, these two are match winners.

You're only correct in using the word 'bit' if you mean it to mean 'not much', seeing as the mighty Spurs won some silverware this season.

These mighty Spurs sound mighty gay.

Just sayin'

How can a group of men who celebrate 'scoring' in a 'goal' by hugging, kissing, and then taking group showers together possibly be considered gay?

'inverted commas'

Winning a set of cutlery in a Raffle would be more of an achievment 😎

Not really seeing as it got us into Europe, and helped us attract players of Modric's standard.

So, you see, you're statement is really rather wrong.

No you are factually wrong. So get over it, you spurs thug you

Eh, you know those things I said? Well, eh, they're true. So, eh, etc.

Haha, saying it got Spurs into Europe is funny.

They say it like Arsenal fans do regarding the Champions League, except it's not that.

Yeah, that's true. We had to win some silverware to get our spot. Poor Arsenal...

Yeah, meaningless silverware, beating lots of weakened and/or shit teams to get there, then beating Chelsea through a very dodgy Woodgate "header" (Which was really Cech).

Arsenal qualify for the better tournament by just playing excellent enough.

Steady on! I wouldn't call Arsenal a 'shit team'! Admittedly, they are pretty light-weight, and prone to choking, but they're not that bad.

Man City just got into the UEFA because of 'fair play'.

Joke of a cup.

Trust an Arsenal fan to make a joke out of fair play...
