Man City just got into the UEFA because of 'fair play'.

Joke of a cup.

Yeh? How daft, but will be a nice change for city being in europe for a game or two.

I read on the teletext that Real Madrid wanna bid loads of dosh for C.Ronaldo, 80 Mil € was one sum that was mentioned.

Do you think that the term "everything is fors sale if the price is right" could also apply here, or will Fergy keep him no matter what, after all Man U aint exactly a poor club what needs money is it.

Fergie wont sell him. Ronaldo will go eventually but not untill he is about 26. By then he will probably want a new challenge

Damn. Rangers lost 2-0 last night, disappointing end to the Euro campaign for us 🙁

Disapointing? Embarassing!! the way they played, like a pub team.
I expected Zenit to win, after stuffing Bayern Munich, Leverkusen and other teams.

But Rangers could have at least tried to have a crack at them instead of playing long balls onto one lone striker, in front of a "home" crowd.

There were hardly any combinational play at all, and having Ben Stiller in goal didn´t help. 😆

We also stuffed top teams, the (at the time) French and German champs for instance. However we did play pretty poorly, but I wouldn't say we were embarrassments.

As a neutral viewer I have to say the difference in technical ability & team play was vast.

"Stuffed" top teams!!!! 😮. Rangers only scored 5 goals & won 2 games in this UEFA campaign, a wonder they actually reached the final really. (Zenit 23 goals). And how the got past Bremen is a mystery, well if you saw the games it wasn´really, Bremen were better and should have gone through 8:1.

The reason I mentioned the word "Embarassing", which may have been a bit over the top I admit, is that Rangers are one of the two dominating teams in Scottish football, record champions. So you´d expect them to be able to string a few passes & combinations together, and control the ball. The only technically good player I saw on the Rangers side was Ferguson.

I think the tactics were wrong on the night. The lone striker doesn't always work for us and I think we should have had Boyd upfront alongside Darcheville, he's our top scorer for a reason. But recently it's like Smith doesn't want us to score. I know this was supposed to be a rebuilding season but we've kinda petered out near the end of the season and it showed last night I guess.

And yeah Ferguson is by far our best player, he'll be greatly missed when he hangs up his Jersey.

On the contrary, they're saddled with unworkable debt.

Re: Rangers, it was quite a gutless performance. No invention or attacking prowess. Liverpool-esque, one might say. They didn't change tact until it was too late.

Ironically where they were not Liverpool-esque.

Had they been, they'd have jammed a win with luck.

Typical hun bastards. Rioting through Manchester like the scum they are, just goes to show they don't dserve anything from the game. Zenit deserved it all

I see the VVD & AC singularity have yet again managed to add pointless anti Liverpool comments into a subject. Very talented, you could turn a conversation on the influence of dark matter on ion laden dust clouds in the horse nebula into an attack on liverpool.

😆 I presume you don´t like Rangers fans then?
funny though, some footage on the TV clearly showed some Non Russian fans fighting each other, maybe some Englishman extracted the urine and upset a few jocks.

Singularity? You ARE odd.

It wasn't pointless, he made a point about comparing the style of play. I simply made a semi-jocular remark.

Well, depends if the ions are negative.

The Ions are Dynamic, just like Liverpool, so you´d have a job on your hands

Dynamic ions? Liverpool?

Irons maybe. As in ironING boards. Stiff. Bored stiff also.

Me, not the players.

I love it when AC gets all comedic.
