No wonder he aint got a clue about football. 💃

Said the Liverpool supporter.

One could argue that supporting that team sort of implies that you suffer from footballistic retardation.

The problem is real supporters like me, tend to support one of thier local teams since childhood, so I´m not gonna change just because some dual personality dimwit keeps having cracks at em am I.

Unlike some people who support Brasil just because they are good.

Why do you support Arsenal, because they were champions when you suddenly gained interest for football, or did you swap from somewhere else 😈

On more footballing matters, a small village in Germany has become the smallest village ever to play in the Bundesliga. Due to some rich folk pumping millions into the club.

Hoffenheim gained promotion with a 5:0 win on Sunday.

looks like other teams are doing a "Chelsea" and getting sugar daddies.

Is this gonna mess up football do you recon?

There's a shocker, supporting a team you enjoy, who are good.

Yes, that makes me look like a right idiot, doesn't it? You sitting there admitting you only support Liverpool, who are shit, and haven't won anything off the backs of their own undeniable hard work in more than a decade, because you live there. Whilst I say "I support Brazil because I really enjoy their football.".

God, I must look like a right 'tard. Especially with you sitting here saying all this. I'm pretty sure that all those Austrians that actually didn't support Hitler were idiots, they should have though, right? He was born there. Local boy.

Why would I support a team I don't enjoy? I enjoy great football, so I support Arsenal, who I've always enjoyed more than other clubs, and Brazil, who I've always enjoyed more than other countries.

West Ham United are my "local" team, and they're shit. If I were a true glory hunter, I'd be supporting Man Utd or Chelsea.

A) No, I support them because I enjoy them the most, and have done since I was a child. Because then, I had no grasp of the idiotic concept that is nationalistic loyalty and patriotism, and thankfully wasn't raised to have it. So I was not told who it is and isn't ok to support, because such a thing doesn't exist.

B) So, how does that measure up against the fact that I support Arsenal now, despite them not being champions of anything?

Maybe you're just upset that you support an utter shit team and are disgusted by the fact that even as a man, you are not able to break the mental chains that bind you to such childish and idiotic concepts like patriotism, on a minor or grand scale.

Maybe they'll win the league next year, though.

A:- Whats god got to do with it?
B:- Whats Hitler and the 2nd world war got to do with football?

I think your confusing National patriotism and sporting interest.

I totally agree with you where as the "idiotic concept that is nationalistic loyalty and patriotism" is concerned as this causes blind following and war.

I don´t BLINDLY support Liverpool, if the other team plays better and deserves to win then thats ok with me. And in my eyes its just sport, nothing more.

But I don´t go arround pointlessly attacking a certian team on forums like you do, in fact Ive given praise many of times to other teams including Arsenal. You Don´t even when its deserved.

You implied it was wrong to not support a local team, because they're local, and that somehow, you were more loyal than I.

Someone or someTHING being local doesn't mean you have to support them or it.

That'd be fine if I pointlessly attacked Liverpool.

Every time I say anything about them, there's some factual basis to it, even if it's mostly subjective. That, or it's a joke, and you just can't handle Liverpool being made fun of.

I've never seen Liverpool deserving of praise in recent memory. If you can give me an example, I will. They scraped 4th, they advanced in the C.L. as far as they did due to luck and shitty decisions. None of their performances were outstanding or memorable. The time they won it, they got there via a goal that wasn't, they do shit in the league and very nearly lost fourth to Everton.

What do you want me to say?

Theres worse teams in the league, go and attack them for a change.

Nevertheless; respect for your stance on nationalistic loyalty and patriotism. Not many people have open enough eyes to think on this plane.

Football´s just a game, people getting killed as pawns in war isn´t, but thats another topic.

When Blackburn's fans and players are acting like they're some feared nutters, I will.

Feared Nutters 😆 😆

Dunno where you got that from, mind you rather have active fans than the corpses in the Highbury Library 😮‍💨

There is a difference between active fans and "We're feared".

I don't care if Arsenal are feared or not, but I think that considering their ability to be able to beat the best teams in the biggest circumstances, by playing amazing football, they wouldn't be out of line for saying "We are feared.".

Steven Gerrard actually believes, like most fans and Liverpool players do, that they are some feared European force. They're not, they get luck all the time, and cop out of the league so they can focus on a tournament where any win will do, cos then you're through.

-AC

i think that people would generally prefer to avoid liverpool in europe. they are much tougher to beat than most teams.

Besides the Champions League final and the games to get there that require beating very shit teams, name a game in European recent memory that they didn't win by luck or dodgy decisions aiding them against a good team.

Chelsea? Phantom goal. Inter? Two reds that shouldn't have been, Liverpool couldn't score until then. Arsenal? Penalty denied, penalty given when it shouldn't have been.

They didn't beat Chelsea because they didn't get any overwhelming, continual luck. They don't do well in the league for the same reason, although the luck does happen.

The reason they're "tough" in Europe is cos Rafa starts resting all his decent players in the league so that those people in the C.L. who actually play for more than one cup, are tired to face them.

-AC

The CL final involved a dubious penalty as well.

They are "feared" because they are unpredictable, one reason why Im a fan. Yet again I must add there is NO such thing as luck, you make your own luck. Goals happen when a mistake is made, those who make the least mistakes get the least goals scored against them.

And all this "penalty disallowed" "ghost goal" (which wasn´t) crap is pathetic, this happens to every team now and again, not only to liverpool.

Whats your predicitons for tonights final, I recon it´ll be 2:1 to Chelsea.

look ac.. liverpool murdered arsenal. now leave it at THAAAAAAAAA!

There is such a thing as luck, fortune etc. It happens, and even if you were right, it proves that Liverpool didn't get there by their own work.

Fact. Decisions that go in Liverpool's favour are luck, especially in the Champs League. The cards against Inter, the penalty in the final, the penalty against/not given regarding Arsenal, the phantom goal.

This is not coincidence. Liverpool are not "unpredictable". If no teams could prepare for them, they'd win a lot more than they do.

Mostly to Liverpool in the Champions League. That is their most crowning glory in recent years, and it was down to a dodgy penalty and a phantom goal, fact. What else have they done? Got whooped by West Ham in the F.A. Cup final, saved by a speculative effort by Gerrard.
