Apparently City is going for Drogba and Henry now.

I´d laugh me bollocks of if they went for numerous star players and ended up with no one at the end of the transfer window.

good move for villa, heskey is perfect for them.

good move for hull, bullard is a decent player.

They probably will.

The way City is approaching this is all wrong, really. They have the money now, but they're still nobodies. They'd better use the money to deepen out the team first, end in the top half, win some prizes in the next season maybe and THEN go for the big names. Everybody knows this already of course, except for City...

Your right, money isn´t the only thing which matters a bit of cred helps. Although in Germany Hoffenheim are doing a good job with well selected scouted players even thought they´r a small nobody club. (they are top of the Bundesliga)

Does anyone know if there is any truth in the rumour that Rednapp at Spurs wants our very own Nigel Quashie-i saw this mentioned on a Spurs forum and dearly wish it to be true.

Woah, amazing. The spurs forwards actually ran around a bit during the last 30 seconds of that game. Good effort, lads.

Spurs look a bit off balance imo, they don´t mesh well as a team.
Rednapp´s got a lot of work to do and needs to bring some more players in.

I liked Fabio the 18 year old twin of Rafael, if they both develop well they are going to be a devastating pair of attacking right and left backs.

Hoffenheim did exactly what I said City should do. They managed to scout Carlos Eduardo before any of the big clubs did, got Ibisevic from Aachen (I think) and some other good players for little money and it's paying off for them. They'll probably go for the big names in a couple of years as well. It'll take longer for them to build a rep though, because they came all the way from the 3rd Division, I believe. Plus they play in the Bundesliga which is a slightly less attractive competition than the Premiership to play in.

The problem is Bayern Munich who almost control the Bundesliga, will probably try and get the German FA to stop buying spree´s in some way, although they do the same themselves.

What about in the Netherlands, any sign of some club getting financial injection from anywhere? I was in Alkmaar llast year, they have nice new stadium by the looks of it, and they´ve been doing well. Whats their story?

A lot of clubs have been growing around here recently. SC Heerenveen has been scouting a lot of talent from Scandinavia, and FC Groningen has been doing the same recently. AZ got a new owner a couple of years ago, forgot his name though. He's been investing a lot in them, though nowhere near the amounts of money as Abramovitch and the Abu Dhabi Group have been pumping into their respective clubs. AZ are leading the table as well now btw, but Ajax is like 2 or 3 points removed from them...

Spurs are making a lot of sense in the transfer market at the moment.

I'm really happy about that.

Hahahaha. How we laughed.

Literally. Like that.

I'm hoping we go for Ronny Rosenthal next, and then we bring back Darren Anderton from retirement. It's gonna be great.

I see Arsenal are close to signing another inconsistent player. Just what they need!

Hahahaha!

(That's how I laughed, too!)

Arshavin is supoib. You're masturbating in tearish fury as we speak.

They mightn't sign him in any case.

Wenger said they aren't even close to signing Arshavin. Mainly because he demands a weekly salary of intergalactic proportions.

Plus, the chance that he won't live up to expectations are pretty big. Arsenal better of signing Danny from Zenith. He's a comparable player, younger than Arshavin and he isn't as much of an arrogant bastard. He'll probably cost less as well.

kind of surprising how well villa are still doing, just checked and their last 9 matches in the prem go like this.. dwwwdwwww

shocking really, they havent even played that well in some of those matches.

They've had ridiculous luck in most of them.

Im surprised no one is after Ribery from Bayern Munich, that man is real class, would fit in well at ManU with him being an Ugly chap.

Ive got a funny feeling Liverpool are going to sink from now on.

I see Man u Obliterated West Brom 0:5. They are looking quite impressive at the moment.
