so true.. the new movies have become money making tools only, so they just pump them up with effects.. not just bond most new movies... and these ones are always the ones to make the money its sad really
Gee, ya think QT's got a thing for Uma Thurman?? Puhleeeeze! That makes it sound like QT's attitude is "it's my way or the highway" - which is fine when you're doing your own movies - but Bond is a franchise.
It is a franchise that DOES need some reinventing, I must admit - and QT could definitely breathe some new and fascinating life into the old cookie cutter standard......
I think this would be a phenomenal opportunity for QT to prove HE is capable of more than the Pulp Fiction & Kill Bill types of direction & content.... in other words - tone it down to prevent an R-Rating. Too much movie audience is lost in making everything R-Rated. Young Teens have the largest disposable income in a lot of society these days.
(IMHO, I think that the human imagination has been put into neutral with so much graphic material in movies.)
yeah, I don't get why Uma ... haven't seen KB at all, but I do know how she looks like and she can play a cameo if she wants or perhaps a very small role, but she doesn't has the looks to be a bondgirl imho
and I have to agree with you, perhaps Bond needs QT, but than only if he goes into the direction of giving Bond more background and stuff, just focusing on it with much less FX.
I just hope that if he does it again, he won't make it R, we need "little kids" (I mean those that are not adults) too! Cause who as a "kid", didn't dream of being a secret agent? (well, I can tell you, most guys did or still do) With that R, it can go really wrong I'm afraid
