Thunderball and sharks? you refer to Licence to Kill I take? With Felix getting his leg off? the most you can see there is blood in the water

Yeah! that's the one! Sharks can't eat your whole body! If QT would directed that one he would have shown body parts floating around. 😄

(thunderball is with connery, licence to kill is with dalton 😖)

see! that's not bondlike, the most you can get is that you see some blood, not that bodyparts go flying in the air

One scene with some gore isn't going to affect the Bond line. Also is not all about the bloodshed. QT might handle a Bond movie differently than his other 4 movies.

but it will feel un-bondlike 🙁

they say he's asking the producers now

who's asking who about what? 😖

Tarantino is asking Broccoli to do it

that's a good thing then? 😊

if you want tarantino to make it yes ... and I think most want that

*bump*

from the New York Times:

Brosnan about Tarantino and the Casino Royal idea:

"I went to them and asked about making "Casino Royale," which is the first Ian Fleming book. I had hooked up with Quentin Tarantino, who wanted to direct the movie. On the fifth apple martini one evening, he mentioned "Casino Royale," which is the blueprint for the psyche of Bond, and I took that idea to the Broccoli family, who produce the Bond movies. They have a way of doing the films, and they are not open to discussion -- they threw my idea out the window."

so apperently the idea of making CR was more closer developed than we even realised

I think it would be really really cool

but I doubt it will happen, copyright and trademark y'knw

Change the names, and stuff, much like AUstin Powers did,

then it's still sue-able

check it out.. pretty interesting

Tarantino is too self absorbed in his own cinematic view of things...what the Bond film needs is a director who will give SOMETHING BACK to the series...

like what?

Like style, panache, decent action sequences, decent storylines, decent...I think YOU get the point!!! 😛

the problem is that in the most modern action movies (which Bond is becoming more and more), there is no decent storyline nor a dcent action sequence...

The LAST DECENT ACTION FILM I saw was DIE HARD in 1990... 🙁
