Muhammad Ali or Bruce Lee?

Sure you do, you at least know one is yellow and the other is black (though more of a mid-brown); that's something.

And one of them is dead and the other has parkinson's.

Bare knuckles would make Ali many times more lethal.
No doubt his punches would hurt more, but, as I said, would Ali be more prone to inury? And, knowing he risked injury, would this affect his fighting?

Are there real fights of Bruce Lee one can go by to measure?
according to the movie "Dragon", yes.

It's possible to break a hand while punching, just not common. It would affect his fighting, he could punch faster (less weight) and his punches would do more damage.

Bruce Lee. No questions.

If you're thinking of the fight with Oharra (Bob Wall), it's a myth that it was real. Wall has said it was blown out of proportion. Seems like this happens to many of the Lee legends where hearsay is all we have.

Yes, but Ali, being a pro, KNOWS the chance for injury is greater, and one cant help but wonder if he would hold back, you know?

There's some old footage from the late 50's/early 60's were Lee is fighting some light weight Chinese street-toughs, and he doesn't take them out in a few seconds either. Other than that, it's really all hearsay about what Lee could do in a real fight against a professional.

So, we don't know is basically the best answer?

Good lord. Either way, it would only take a couple of hits with or without gloves. Do you think Lee would hold back because he would be bare knuckled and "know the chance for injury is greater"?

It's a moot point. Both would punch/hit to KO the other. Ali could easly KO Lee one one hit, I doubt Lee could do the same to Ali.

Correct.

Oddly, Lee never really competed, despite claiming he was the greatest fighter in the world, go figure.

Lee is trained to fight bare knuckled, Ali isnt. Advantage Lee.

It doesn't work exactly like that. Do you think Ali never punched without gloves?

Edit:
You bring up a good point though. As far as anyone knows, Lee only really fought punching bags and wooden boards. So the advantage in fighting an opponent that hit's back, clearly goes to Ali. Which in imo, is a HUGE advantage.

I am sure every time he sparred or fought in a bout he wore gloves.

Use your brain. If you can punch with a glove, you can punch (probably better) without a glove. But if it makes you happy, Ali could break his hand on Lee's face, but what do you think that would do to Lee? I'll tell you, it would be the end of the fight, for Lee.

Not necessarily, depends on how well placed the punch is. I have seen guys break their hands in fights and their opponent was unfazed.

Do you doubt Ali's ability to "place a punch"?

Yea, it happens, it's just not the likely scenario... how many times have you punched someone and how many of those times did your hand break?

Oh, do you not think Ali has a huge advantage in fighting an opponet that isn't a bodybag or a board?

Once someone sucker punched me and broke their hand, and I was like "Dude, are you OK?" He hit me in the lower forehead, and it didn't faze me at all. Had it been in the jaw and I'd have probably been knocked out.

I am not doubting Ali's punching, I am sure he was like a surgeon, but hey, shit happens.

Like I said, it's a moot point. Ali could break his hand; so could Lee.
