Size and strength doesn't necessarily mean victory..fighting ability and strategy also comes into play..you ever read Sun Tszu's "Art of War"..Bruce studied that shit like it was the bible..he also spent most of his free time refining/perfecting his style..Ali on the other hand spent most of his free time cheating on his wife..lol...

fighting is chaotic. This is why most times in a fight it always comes down to who wants it more, or who is the better fighter. Martial arts doesnt teach you to fight. if you see someone who incoorperates a martial art into their life fighting another person, most times their is only one person fighting. Most forms of martial arts teaches you to let the person beat themselves in a confrontation.when you have someone like Ali, who would be the person to take controll and stay calm in a fight against Bruce Lee, a person who does the very same thing. I wager on the person who i would think to be the better fighter. I see Bruce Lee trying to end the confrontation as soon as possible, He studied and trained fighting his entire life. He knows boxing, and he would know that Ali's technique would be going for the most painfull strikes. Boxers are trained to go for areas that will have a lasting effect, like the ribs. Martial artists go for areas that will end a confrontation in one blow, pressure points.
Well I'm a trained boxer, and I can tell you that is true about the body,
but the head is where the majority of the work is done....
You know that bit below your nose and above your mouth...? Pressure point and nerve strike target.... Ganglian nerve at the point of the skull where the jaw meets it...? Ditto....
Temple...? Potentially fatal when getting punched (Especially with big ali-sized hooks..)
You also get taught the hard way very quickly that to attack a shorter opponent especially one with any degree of worth with Body shots is leaving yourself open to counters over the top ... So unless you have opened up with enough shots upstairs that they raise their guard to their body is open.....You wouldn't be wise to try that..
However a shorter, less reachy fighter against the tall reachier opponent...It's Body work r'us...!!
Ali flurried to the head with great precision and speed power, he was a headhunter... Especially against shorter opponents...as he would against someone like Lee's size....Not going to the body that much at all.... Knockouts are a very effective way of ending confrontations too....
And this would almost certainly be the case against Lee....
Bruce Lee joined tradition and common sense for the very first time in modern martial arts. He could have just accepted that he was a student of one of the last martial arts Masters, Yip Man, could have just been a representative of Wing Tsun kung fu in the US and just made money. But Bruce Lee had a restless spirit. Sooner or later he found out the main weakness of Wing Tsun: its attacks are not strong enough. Some people will just not go down with a few punches. Today we see in mixed martial arts events that some fighters can take several good blows in the head and still be able to grab you and take you down.
Bruce created a unique style of fighting which is very effective in the way he used it. Here are some strong points:
1.He used kicks to the head. If he did not use them (like some people claim) he would not train for them. Kicks to the head CAN be very effective, especially roundhouse kicks. I have seen hundreds of fights. I haven’t seen anyone take a good roundhouse kick to the head and not go down. Even a tough fighter like Don Frye could not survive against a good roundhouse kick thrown to him by Jerome Le Banner.
2. He was one of the first to use boxing training methods and protective equipment in sparring.
3. He explained why a technique is effective before he taught it. Back then, in other martial arts, you either accepted tradition or you were out of the school.
4. He trained his punches and kicks against live targets (like focus gloves) or against the fearsome body bag. The noise of a snapping gi was not enough for him. He had to know that his attacks were effective.
5. He was the first martial arts master that stressed the importance of a cardiovascular workout. He was really tired of seeing big-bellied masters that would not last a single round against a boxer in a ring. For Bruce, the best kind of endurance and cardiovascular training was running.
6. Most martial arts make a common mistake in their training. They train their students against attacks that are used in a stiff and robot-like manner. No enemy ever attacks like that. And you can be sure that most attackers will not attack you with a reverse punch or using a traditional martial arts move. Bruce trained his students against boxing punches and tae kwon do kicks.
The list can go on forever. Bruce Lee contributed a lot to martial arts.
So overall lee could take on just about any fighter in his time.... 😄 😛 💃
I see, well thats all my argument blown out the water
I guess the only way to train is on a few grains of rice.
I'm sure we are going to see lots of lightweights winning the heavyweight divisions in different combat sports as size means nothing😕 those pesky weight divisions are obviously pointless.
We are also going to see lots of TKD, Wing Chun etc fighters winning pride in the future and as for Heavywright boxing whats the point of a right hook, when you can use "the one inch punch" its devastating! The Gracie Family better forget JJ as its so inferior to Jeet Kun Do (which has won loads of mixed martial arts comps 🙄)
Once again thanks for putting me right , you sure told me 😕

Size matters to a point..like if your fighting in an organized match with a standard set of rules..in a contained area..but if your streetfighting..there are no rules man..hell I've taken people down who have been much stronger than myself in street fights..and I've gotten my ass beat by people who I consider weaker.
The point is that Bruce is more studied in the ways of combat than Ali..he ain't just gonna go up to Ali and try to trade punches/kicks/whateva with him...And don't give Bruce any prep time before this battle..Bruce is like batman..Ali would be screwed fo sho..lol....
So could you beat say, Brock Lesnar
After all the WWE is all fake and you can beat bigger guys!

🙄 cause you sound tough
Sorry.,don't know how I missed this
So the bible of board room takeovers is useful in a fight!
