More seriously though, more uptight you are, Less speed you can move at. More time it can take for your reflexes to kick in and more energy is burned up quicker. The 1st thing that fuels rage is adrenaline.
Adrenaline makes the legs stiffen.
The stiffer your legs, the less able to get out of the way of things quickly, you are.

Certainly busted his face up for him, anyhow, even if the guy was on PCP, he'd be unable to talk or breathe comfortably for a while. 🙂
And did you not try hooking to the temple area..? Thats effective. If you score that, that seeing-stars-time for your opponent. Allowing to you to keep punching, stepping in and finish, when you see hes stunned.

I didnt wanna really hurt him, I could tell he was heartbroken that his GF was cheating on him.
In the last two fights I had, only one of us was on the ground.
I'm not saying that it doesn't go to grappling a lot, it does, but my point is not always.

Well I aint no fighter. I hate fighting. I can defend myself and know how to throw a good punch, but I walk away if possible.
Before we fought, he and she were talking, and he was pleading with her to go home, but she kept saying no. When she walked away, he looked around, and his eyes fell on me.
I didnt deserve it, I had no idea they were an item, I even tried telling him this as I backpedalled and punched away, but he wasnt hearing it.
Well that my policy too,if you mean that its best not to be a thug, but once someone has game-on'd it by going for me, then its on until subservience is shown after retaliation.
No-ones talking about being a thug, but rules of peace (including your own peace) do need some enforcing every now and then.
Telling him your critique on their relationship probably wasn't a good idea.
