not as simple as you make out!!! 😄
No that was the five point exploding palm technique, sadly its stuff like that which drives the Martial Arts mystique.
As I say I have done TKD for twenty years and boxed a lot, I know which I think is tougher and more effective.
no... when she starts training the guy says "now that I own that hand I want it strong" and she trains trying to break that piece of wood...
I depends on your level greatly... I would love to learn to fight like Masutatsu Oyama,
At his level he greatly surpased boxing and most other mashal arts... The feats from his life make for an interesting insight of a true master... First level black belts are nothing really... They know very little other then technique.

I don't believe in these true masters, I met master Sken once at a seminar, lovely guy and truly impressive at Muay Thai. He would lose in the UFC.
Some first level black belts are superb competition fighters and beat those many grades above them. At Black Belt in Karate and TKD its really just forms that get harder nothing more.
Its like Thai Chi pushing hand or Iron shirt Qui Gong good tricks, but a left hook is better.
Oyama's style is one of the more effective styles - If you have Eurosport watch out for the World Championships in KK Karate from Versay in Paris and judge how good a style it is for yourself.
Traditional arts lose to BJJ Grappling and Boxing strikes

I think modern UFC and Pride fighters would beat any one style. Lee did not really have a proper grappling base Tao and his other books use natual Akido Japanese/ Sliding hand Chinese traps. These are not effective in the same way BJJ and Wrestling traps are. Traditional Karate is limited by its solidity it present a wall, in early UFC a number of top KK fighter fought google it and you will see they all lost. Ali has a punchers chance, but I think he would get taken to the ground and submitted. I think the modern guys are to versatile.
The Versay tournament is a repeat they show sometimes, enough to know it will be on again.
Yeah.Real fighting isn't as impressive as the flashy movies.Mas Oyamas amazing bull fight has been discredited by some of his own students too.You can find articles on it on Bullshido.Lee's take on fighting (especialy ground work) is very primitive compared to todays standards.Take enter the dragon for example.Bolo Yung gets John Saxan in an armbar and the only conceivable way Saxan can see escaping is by bitting Bolo. Most Juijitsu beginners can now tell you an escape wouldn't even need to be that extreme because Bolos legs where in the wrong position.

please give a link to this site....
You still talking about the movies?? aren't they non-cannon??? 😆
Please explain why Bruces take on ground work is primitive... If you judge him primitive, What do you make of Ali's ground work....

This isn't the same one I read before but they do touch on the fact of how Mas Oyama supposedly faked the horn chop. They also talked about it on Bas rutten.tv.If you search you can probably find it on within the first 15 pages (unfortunetly they don't have a search engine for the forum on his website).Movies are non cannon but sadly when it comes to lee movies are about all we have. You are correct Ali's ground work would have been worse than Lee's.I don't think Lee had enough effective ground work to take Ali though.
They also give a link within my link talking about how Oyama was a complete BS artist. It's worth checking out.
for all the talk of Oyama faking the horn breaking I could pull up all the cases of faked boxing fights.... Its tic for tat... End of the day Oyama would break bones if he hit you, or break your arm if you blocked... Its hard to get a rep like that without proof.....
I would fully expect people to doubt it... I did at first when I read it... But then again.. This is the guy who punched someone in the head and instantly killed him...(he didn't mean to kill the guy and he didn't use a death strike, And it was in self defence) And spent close to 4 years conditioning himself in mountains....
I would consider Ali's ground work to be his best advantage... Most if not all of the people Ali fought uses little to no ground work, they were just heavy hitters...
Ali was probably stronger then Bruce, But Bruce is a much better fighter, trained against boxers, and had better ground work....
Its a shame he didn't live longer and have more recorded fights...

When did he fight for real? Please provide evidence or a link 🙂
I didn't mention anything about Lee having a real fight, I said, in my opinion that Lee would not use flashy film moves but instead use moves from his discipline that would cripple Ali if he connected.
Having been born long after his unfortunate death and therefore never met the man I can't say for sure whether he has had a real fight and recorded some sort win-loss ratio 🙄 but I'll look into it.
