Squats in any form will increase stamina if you are soing reps - it depends what your after. For a Rugby player which was my main sport I needed a lot of upper body strength, that programme would not give it, reistance training is the only way to produce this kind of power. some one who can leg weights can't do 500 hindu squats...
After you had built up your stamina so that you could do 100 squats easy he says you should start adding other exercises to the list.. Push ups being 1 of the first... so that your endurance enables you to build up your upper body strength quickly...

Well when I see a Hindu squat expert winning a powerlifting cmpetition I'll believe it.
Till then I'll stick to weights. You do understand plyometrics are far superior for the sort of training you want.

Maybe I was a little vague..... But the meaning was that it doesn't matter if your big or small... as the bigger you are the more muscle you will have... where as smaller peeps will have less muscle...
but the ratio between how much muscle you have for your weight will determine if you can do 2 finger push ups...

not really its the weight on the bones of the fingers and the tendon strength - they would have a finite limit. Big guys would cross this.

lol you managed to find the exact guy and book I was on about!
I believe alot of it is true but obviously if your going to be a pro weight lifter you will need to do weights in the end..

I squat between 260 and 270 kilos for four reps depending on factor at peak, I think Mr Colts squats would do little for me.
🙂 actually thats not true any more as I have to be very careful since my arthroscopy. My knees are not what they were sadly.

you try doing 100 squats then... i think you will be suprised how much they take out of you... I can run for ages but struggled to do 60...Nice part of that programme is you don't need any equipement of warm ups to do it..

Thanks for the offer mate I might but at the moment getting my knees better is key really to everything and it was Rugby that fecked them up not weights.
