So a lot of "Marshal" artists thought highly of Bruce Lee? Okay, he provided some interesting theory and all. That's great. But he doesn't have any record to prove he could actually implement that theory against skilled opponents.
Muhammad Ali, on the other hand, is a man that EVERY fighter thinks highly of. He is inarguably one of the greatest, if not the greatest, strikers ever. His record is indisputable.So we have a much smaller fellow that MIGHT be a very good striker and a much larger fellow who is without a doubt one of the best strikers. Even if Lee was the best fighter in the world pound for pound, a man his size would be hard pressed to outpunch a good heavyweight, let alone a great one like Ali. The Pro-Lee argument here seems to depend on the mythical superiority of the Chinese martial arts. That myth is just that, a myth. Boxing is a very effective martial art: while it might lack any kicks that Lee's system has (which is why MMA guys tend to use Thai Boxing instead) it's not impossible to get inside a man's kicking range. In that place, where it's just fists flying, a small man like Lee wouldn't last a few minutes with Ali.
Your whole arguement is based on the possibility that Ali could actually manage to hit Bruce. Bruce was an incredibly fast fighter because of his small build, he's not going to stand completely still and duke it out with Ali punch for punch. His movements were so fast on camera it was a blur and he had to slow down for his films. Ali's movements are painfully slow in comparison because at his highest speed in a fight I can still see his punches. Your arguement about getting inside the kicking range of an opponent would be okay-if the guy had relatively long legs which Bruce Lee obviously doesn't.

What basis does a fight record determine how any fight will turn out?
You really need to cut down on the smilies if you want me to take you and your comments the least bit seriously.

not this again whirly... your still to show me anything to counter the point I made about there fighting styles... seeing as bluce trainned to fight people like ali.. while ali trainned to fight static sluggers...
static slugger 😂
Bruce trained people to fight people like Ali 😕 He had a lot of World heavyweight champions in his stable did he?
OK guess you got me there 🙄
53
0
🙂
so If I won 53 fights then had a fight against someone who was actually trainning to fight someone with my fighting style...
Would those 53 previous wins mean I auto win this fight...
Most of ali's op if not all were trainned to fight as static sluggers who just wanted to get you into a corner and bash you.. ali broke the mold and realised that foot work could easily over come these foes... Seeing as Bruce isn't a static slugger I would conclude that 53 wins against people who can hardly be compared to bruce, is not a viable counter...

it'd be a hell of a fight. both fighters, in their prime, hand to hand. in the end it'd be bruce on top. why? cuz ali uses just his hands. bruce uses his feet and hands. if it were a straight up boxing match? ali. if it was no holds barred? bruce.
😂
Please tell me about Bruce winning some fights for real or in competition
