He's probably just tense, as are you all. Having just seen his Master become extremely depressed and yourself drop to your knees in horror in the last few minutes, he's not quite his normal self.
Four minutes...
-
Mirani's office is a mess. He's packing endless amounts of paper into a bag.
"Not now, not now..." he says.
Jelena tries to give Sunda an encouraging smile.
"Have faith, Sunda," Jelena says. "All will be right in the end. Your Master is a great man and will find a way through this, as will I, and quite possibly yourself. You are a great Padawan, Sunda, you just need to learn to control yourself. As do I, as you can tell."
OK wait, you just told me I could Not kill them, but then... Arrg! There are 18 of them right? Thats an aweful lot of mooks for me in 4 min... Hmm, OK one more go then I kill em....
*Ignights Lightsaber.*
"Listen to me. Stay here, and you will probably die. Even if you do overcome me, General Kuylen and the Z'har are about to launch a massive attack on this very facility. You could stay here and lose your lives. or you can get away and keep your lives, and your family and everything you have worked on."
"Quite a few things, actually," Gallagher says, returning the look with a grim smile.
"Care to have a private chat now?"
Gallagher will keep him under constant Scan.
(By the way, Andro, if you sign on, just keep watching and hope you're not discovered, maybe you'll be able to pin a few people to this too)
"I think I can overrule them, Doctor," Gallagher says, his grim grin widening slightly. "I am, in fact, a Jedi Knight."
Gallagher uses the Force to lift three or four papers out of his pack, neatly stack them, and them pulls them to him.
"Don't make any sudden movements, Doctor, I would like to negotiate with you."
"Gallagher Klinge-Faust, Jedi Knight since seventeen, been in training since two. My master was a Caamasi Knight named Corth, and my first mission as a Padawan was during the Stark Hyperspace War a few years back. I was injured in a fight with intigators on my homeworld, Thespion, my first mission as a Jedi Knight was to Arminium to fight a crazed man with a droid army, I have since then been on a few diplomatic missions to the Mid Rims and shut down a small crime ring on Malastare.
"My uncle is Scroop, my mother is Maria, my father is Leer, my sister was Kellan but was murdered.
"Anything else you would like? I don't carry identification cards or my lightsaber, that would be just plain silly on an investigation."
Would Leadership be useful for this?
No, though Law would be, because he is right. You can't exercise your formal power without formal means. You were never actually meant to be making arrests whilst still undercover, of course, and lacking Persuasion to get the locals like Hasina on your side, everything is going to slip away like this. If you illegally detain Mirani he would likely have to be acquitted of any other charges due to procedural violation.
Furthermore, you don't have any evidence against him to make such a move, and he CERTAINLY isn't posing an immediate danger to anyone (which is the emergency get out clause for many of these circumstances- few will complain about you not being 100% procedural if some nutter is shooting people dead on the street). Varm- who has tried to kill you an whom Andro can directly link to the drug supply- is different.
"No idea," he says, gathering up as much of his rubbish as possible. "Now, good day!"
He walks out the door and is rather surprised to find a green lightsabre suddenly igniting inches away from his face.
It's held in the right hand of a slim but rather intense looking man of Asian extraction who, because it is for years since he first turned up in a game, now has a small beard. His name is Ithrorn, and he's a Jedi Knight, and in fact you remember him being assigned to help Gundark find the Viceroy;s killers, Gallagher.
"And good day to you, Doctor," he says. "Now, please sit down, and try not to make any sudden moves."
