While we waut for the rebels t answer (or whatever) we should talk to Kuylen and Skorzeny in private (Melkor might be right)

(Wow I am at work late one day and the story throws me for a loop but I do have some Ideas)

After listening to the ensueing converstation, things were not looking any better, even though now the military under command of General Kuylen would stay there attack whilst we were here, this only opened up the door for another problem, now the Z'har Government was going to be totally against the Jedi. Looking to Roan and wispering

"Perhapes now that Kuylen will allow us to work with out his Military interfering and is now aggreeing with us we can find out the Demands easy enough from him, after all a military officer such as he would want to know, but this should be dun in private, as for the rest I will think on the matter, for with the combined knowlege of our team we should find the answer to the questions we seek."

Whispering to Roan once more

"Now that we can move without the Military hindering us I believe we should Move back to the ship and discuse these matters in private, once we have gathered the information we need and all the nessecery Questions for Kuylen, and we should research more on this Rebel Leader Volun, perhapes my friend at the Archives can tell us somthing, but the tension is to thick in here, we should give this situation time to cool down, whilist this is going on we can use our legg work"

Yeah Ush, unless Gallagher protests, I'm ready to go to tha our facility. We'll settle in and get to relaxing/ planning further on how to proceed with our investigation.

No message has yet been sent to the Rebels. Asking Skorzeny to try and re-establish contact is one of a long list of things you can ask to do. However, Skorzeny will point out that the Rebels are not seeing visitors; the communications channel is designed for negotiation. As there is a delay in the military situation, he can try and get a new meeting with the rebel leaders together, on the impetus that there are Jedi here to help negotiate now.

Meanwhile, don't worry, everything you discuss now can be in private. I am afraid the Archives are not a good place to find out about individuals.

Now you have your list of questions- and you are still missing a logical point about how the Rebels gained power- you should now come up with a variety of ways in which you can solve then, by talking to people or doing things.

-

Gallagher and Andro, you have been taken, in extreme luxury, to the facility.

This place is perfect. Clean, and gleaming white, with plenty of genuine greenery and softly splashing fountains. It's also huge. This is the biggest health complex on Spiridos- which is quite an achievement- and even concentrating on just the part of it you will be staying at involves a very wide area to work in.

Your are given directions, first of all, to your rooms, after which you are invited to the recreation lounge in order to meet the Doctor for all three of you, and the nurses who will be personally responsible for your health whilst here.

Ok I would like to talk to Skorzeny then, he should know something aboot the Rebel Leader.

"First Minister Skorzeny, we still have a few questions aboot Volun, what kind of man is he? What is known of his History? How could he get so many to follow him? We would like to know as much as possible aboot him so we can negotiate in your best interest."

Just to note, the passage of time is now important, and everyone has things to do. If you want to talk to Skorzeny, that means requesting to see him and he will come and talk. That a. takes time and b. means you must make sure you have a solid idea of all subjects you want to raise with him, because you can't keep asking to see him again and again and again.

Ok let me think:

We should talk to Skorzeny
We should talk to Kuylen
I doubt that Miran will talk to us again, we might want to try it though.
We must talk to the Rebels
Are there any other people that seem to be important or knowledgable.

"Wow, this place is incredible!" Andro tells Gallagher and Zaland. "I'd hate to know how many credits this trip cost." He takes in his surrounding a bit more, and then, "Well, how do you want to proceed? Should we just enjoy ourselves for a day or two, or start trying to dig stuff up right away?"

"Indeed," Gallagher says quietly, as they unpack their things. "But, before we just relax...I should like to take up the offer of meeting our Doctor."

"Well, um, yes of course. That's what I meant, relax after seeing the Doctor," Andro quickly added. "I actually can't wait to start the fitness regime. I'm interested what the good Doctor has in mind."

OK then, What exactly are we going to ask of the people we want to see.
We now need a general motive.
Skorzeny
-Ask about how the Rebels came to power
--Especially because there are no gun trade going on...
-ask about the rebel leader
-ask if any other actions were taken before asking Kuylen to help...

Kuylen
-His personal take on things
-What he knows about Larios (the original kuylen...)

I think we are missing somthing here, I'm going back over the Posts, somthing just doesn't sit right with me and my gut tells me its with both parties.

Oh I have no doubts about that.
But do you have any suggestions on specifics to ask anyone?

"--Especially because there are no gun trade going on..."

That's half the issue I was referring to. Indeed, how did a bunch of pacifists gain power? Part two is the other side of equation. Not only were they unarmed...

Tell me when you have a firm plan to go do stuff or talk to people. Don't forget Sunda can do groundwork for you.

-

Ok! Spiridos crew, you're off to the Recreation Lounge. Recreation indeed; the whole lounge is soft cushions, ferns, video games (nothing aggressive, and all designed to help aid reflexes and hand-eye co-ordination), and the most staggeringly beautiful Twi'lek nurses you ever saw, in outfits you aren't sure are legal. They are all with their clients, of which there are also many.

(Is this a spa or a brothel? - Not that it matters 😛 )

"Well, I guess we should find out where the doctor is. I'm liking this assignment more and more. Remind me to thank Master Fisto when we get back."

Pacifist!
Dammit, I was thinking for like 5 minuites for that word...
I had to resort to discribing it.
They were organized and quick and such
(what do you mean groundwork? Are you saying he can simply go get people for us, or do you have something else in mind?)

turns to Roan and the Group while they are in Private.

We need to ask the timeless old questions of Who, What, Where, and Why, with How thrown in the mix.

With that I have always found that to find the Solution to a problem you have to go back to the beginning, lets look at the facts

1: The Z'har or the governing body of Cassilis have never used the Jedi before and even now they do not want us, however this begs the question, why now, why has the Republic choose to ignore the Z'har not wanting us there, One reason could be and its the most obvious is the history in which the Temple holds, but could there be something they aren't telling us, and I'm not saying the Republic is with holding information, but they may suspect something else is in play and would rather the Jedi uncover it then just to start pointing fingers, again this is only a guess.

2: Now on the Other hand you have the Ruling Government of Cassilis and there leader Skorseny who from the current situation was not only thrown out of power by the Rebels along with the ruling Council, But is now allowing the leader of the Z’har Miran to dictate orders for the people and all though as Ush said he has enormous influence, this much influence can destroy planets let alone a government.

3: Now we have to look at the fact that Skorseny is no longer running the show and is only here for the dog and pony show and Miran is now calling the shots, perhaps we are seeing the Dark Side showing its ugly face but again this is just a guess, and I will tell you why this has creped in my head, here we have a Civilization that for thousands of years have been die hard Pacifist all ways finding a peaceful resolution and suddenly for the first time they call in one of the most highly trained and disciplined Military organizations in the Republic to take the Temple by Force, we all know that such actions are those of the Dark Side.

Along with this up until this very moment everything the Z’har and the Cassilis government have done with the Jedi has been deceptive and elusive. For example, while we were still on Coruscant there ambassador gave us every reason in the book not to go and then upon seeing we would go he was adamant on knowing when we would be leaving, and we found out why when we left early, Then finding out that he never told us what had happened even after he saw we would go regardless, Then once arriving we are at first lead to believe that Skorseny is still in charge with his people that did not revolt only to find out now it is Miran once he saw Skorseny was stumbling all over himself.

4: Now lets look at the good General shall we, here we have a man that his mere name upon hearing it had us all in a tussle, then once arriving planet side we find out he is not who we thought he was but he is related to the demon we thought he was, now this would normally mean nothing for you can’t judge someone on someone else’s actions however this situation begs our attention due to his explanation of the matter and the way he acted, now Roan you know that Kuylen’s sibling has faked his death before, but his own Flesh and blood does not, not to mention General of a major Military, a noble man, and heir to his Kingdom? I find this highly unlikely.

This said and done General Kuylen receives a call from these die hard Pacifists and he comes rushing to their aid and is prepared to take the temple by force and keeps this frame of mind for a short while even after we have arrived then suddenly he exacts his will by saying he will not take action until we the Jedi have tried our peace talks, now this is in our favor but let us look at this more closely.

Kuylen himself told us of his battle plan on how he was to take back the Temple even after we were there but he is waiting because his artillery was delayed now is this coincidence or is something else at work here, now I know your thinking I’m reaching but hear me out.

Kuylen would know we were coming from the ambassador on Coruscant, but we did come a day early which means Miran most likely hoped that the Temple would have been taken back and we would have been sent home twiddling our thumbs never knowing what really happened or why it happened, but what if that wasn’t the case at all, maybe Kuylen delayed them on purpose, and it could be for any number of reasons, perhaps he means well and hoped the Jedi could come up with a more peaceful resolution because he knows how important the knowledge inside the temple is to the Republic, or perhaps he has plans himself for the planet such as taking it over, all I am saying is all or none of what I have said of him may be true but we can not rule him out and we should be mindful what we say to him or ask him.

5: Lastly the Rebels and there leader Volun, what could the Z’har or the ruling Government had done or is doing that would take these Pacifists of thousands of years turn violent, throw away there beliefs and take something by force and use force to hold it, we all know in today’s times it is fairly common to hear of a rebellion of a governments people, but people such as these being the Pacifists they are, something terrible happened or is still happening that we do not know of and we would be wise to find this out quickly before there is needless blood shed, for these type of people to say that there only demand is for the Z’har and the Government to leave there is something very wrong with that. Plus the Cassilis government tells us that this all started over taxation, all though taxation may be involved I do believe there is much more.

Each one of these theories will take much time to research and it is what I can think of at the moment, should I come up with more I shall inform you, but until then I suggest that we take the theories that we have all come to and together try to get to the end of this mess before someone on either side sets something in motion that we can not stop.

TAnother question is were did they get weapons stron genough to destroy Spaceshipes...there something really wrong here.

Nice thinking, Sirus!

A few comments I can make.

1. Don't be too suspicious on the Jedi getting interested. The point is really that Cassilis has never had a crisis that required Republican intervention. In your examinations of history in the Archives, at times when there were small crises that other planets might have asked for help for- not necessarily from the Jedi, perhaps just from the Senate- the Z'Har have always solved the problem themselves. This is the first recorded time that a crisis seems to have gotten out of the Z'Har's control. The Jedi response is simply proportional to that.

3. This links us up with what I am talking with tpt about. Not only are they pacifists... now, Roan says that they must be well organised. I agree- but then so is the Z'Har; nothing stops pacifists from such organisation. As I say, you have one side of it- which is the base nature of the attackers- but you have forgotten the OTHER side of it- their target.

You are correct about the Senator. He was hoping that by the time you arrived, Kuylen would be finished and there would be no situation for you to deal with. Note that this is an important clue to the Z'Har's position. These people aren't going to shoot you in the back- they want to stop you by legal means, as is far more akin to their nature. In Duguid's defence, Skorzeny already admitted that the Senator was only carrying out is instructions. Still, no prizes for guessing who told Skorzeny to tell Duguid that.

4. As you just mentioned who is in charge... despite the obvious domination of Miran on proceedings, it does seem to be Kuylen that has all the power. He even took it upon himself to re-direct your craft when you arrived (and that now should not look suspicious)- you were going to land in the Sanctuary which is in Rebel hands- Skorzeny, and even Miran, were simply watching as Kuylen seems to have taken control over everything from the capital city to air traffic control. Authority that he has now invested in you! It's not vitally important, but no-one seemed too concerned that he had taken over the Government as well.

Anaz isn't heir to anything. He is already Voivode of Antanon! But you might want to check that out as well.

Points 3 and 4 connect when you contrast the oddness of the Z'Har, pacifists, calling in a major military nation to aid them, and why Kuylen is interested. This is a mystery because of an area you have not looked into. Look back again at Cassilis' culture and you might find more clues. In fact, although it is extreme, it is not that suspicious. Perhaps a clue I can give you is that you are not that far from Tasker's Crown- but you are closer to Alderan, and if you followed this chain of worlds out towards the Outer Rim you would finish at Naboo.

Another clue to remember is Anaz's denial that Charnel is in any way interested. It is Anaz himself who has taken this choice.

And most certainly yes, how ignorant about his cousin can he be? That seems unlikely. This is an area that got skipped over.

Anaz also said to Miran that he was 'not informed' that the Republic wanted to negotiate. It should not surprise you that Miran wanted Kuylen to work free of this 'distraction'.

5. And yes, the Rebels. Obviously, yes, the cause is an issue- and yes, well done for remembering that it is meant to be a tax dispute... which now seems to have become a call to abolish the Z'Har. In which respect, the surprise of people like Skorzeny to events seems entirely justified. So what IS the deal here?

And you have no guarantee they do have anti-spaceship weapons, Bardock!

So yes. Certainly a difficult situation, this one- a test of your diplomatic skills. Despite the change in circumstances, the mission type was not a lie; words must solve this one- or at least, improve the situation. It might already be too late to prevent any conflict at all. Much depends on what you do.

Ok then, folks! Spiridos crew are now being approached by a well-dressed- though rather short- middle aged man who introduces himself as Dr. Mirani, senior Registrar at the Spiridos Alpha Medical Facility.

"Welcome to Spiridos!" he says, grandly.
