Ah that works out well for me.
"Well I have a sort of proposition for you. I have a way where we might be able to resolve this peacefully, without the loss of any of your troops. But the problem with this is that Miran and the Venerable Z'har don't excatly seem to agree with me. So while I go talk to the rebels, it would be great if you could stall. Not start the attack, at least until after I talk to the rebels, and hopefully not at all. Could you do that for me?"

Miran IS the Venerable Z'Har, Roan!

"I said I would defer to your authority and I will," says Anaz. "You don't need to persuade me; if you don't want me to attack I won't attack. But you won't get me to agree that it is a good idea. These people will never be convinced except by force. That is the path they chose."

No action from Gallagher, he remains his in third, watching Andro.

Wow, impressive job, Roan! ✅

Jelena's had nothing to say, hence my silence.

Ok, both Twain and Varm are moving to Block Andro, whilst two of the blue droids move up.

As Twain and Varm move in, the droids go to stop them. They roll +1 and evens... not enough! They are shouldered aside, Varm giving his one a particularly nasty elbow in the face as he moves past it.

Andro goes for the ball, confronted by Varm and Twain. Twain goes for Andro first... and rolls a +2! He shoves very hard into Andrio, and skews him away from the ball.

Despite Andro already being blocked, Varm continues with his Block, hoping to knock Andro over. But he rolls -4; Twain is in his way.

No plans at all, Jelena?

Ouch, Andro... 😖

-

I was waiting for further directions from Roan regarding talking to the Venerable Z'Har, but he seems to have not noticed.

The Venerable Z'Har has fallen asleep by now, in that case...

Damn those elderly folk... 😛

Jelena would like to meditate on her vision, in that case...

Her vision shows that we will indeed be heading into battle...but the future is always in motion, so we could avoid it, yes?

It must be said, you have a bad feeling about that vision.

From where you are staying- in a tent provided by Anaz- you can see the Sanctuary, and its great front doors, the same doors you see being blown up in the vision. It is disturbing, to see it like that.

There is something vaguely familar about the voice that spoke to you in the vision as well, but you are damned if you can work out who it is.

You don't think the vision is inevitable... but you are not sure which bits are and are not flexible. It might have been set in wider events, but it seemed very personal to you.

Jelena gives an involuntary shudder at looking to the front doors.

What was the tone of the voice?

Jelena agreed earlier with Roan that there is some dark secret within the Sanctuary. Though, Roan's vision could be interpreted as the Rebels setting the Sanctuary ablaze...though, Roan had disappeared in Jelena's vision, meaning Roan would have been present when it went up in flames.

Firm- lecturing, almost.

Yes, you have lost track of Roan in the vision, and that worries you.

Lecturing...Jelena would pin that either to her mentor, which is ludicrous, or, currently, Anaz. But should did not recognize it as Anaz's voice...at least, not at the time.

Anyone missing during a battle is worrying; especially Roan, since he is spearheading this mission. Whatever it is, there is something in there that draws Roan in.

Yup- and for whatever reason you were not with him. You certainly have a bad feeling about THAT.

Okay, that IS worrying. Anaz Kuylen should be at the head of the troops!

I have a feeling that is why Roan would disappear during the battle...to follow Kuylen INTO the Sanctuary.

Anaz Kuylen's similarities to Larios Kuylen are way too creepy. I wonder if Anaz has a great love for history, as Larios did; it would certainly bring him running if he was able to perform battle outside of the Sanctuary and, in the confusion, slip inside to view some great knowledge that is usually forbidden.

That's the sort of question you can always ask Anaz...

Incidentally, that is quite an assumption; Generals rarely lead their troops into battle.

But Generals from Tasker's Crown do.

Oh, not good, not good...

Jelena would like to find out if there is anything in Sanctuary that is usually not allowed to be viewed. She's assuming that Miran would know what's inside the Sanctuary better...but...he's the one who called on Anaz in the first place.

The most secure part of the Sanctuary is the Vault- the part that contains all the artifacts and books too old and valuable to be on public display. You understand the original Constituion of the first founding of the Republic, 25000 years ago, is in there.

And who would want to see that thing? Older than reason...

Jelena wishes to speak with Skorzeny.

Well, its value is only historical and cultural, of course, but that is a demonstration of the value of the things contained in there. It is, in fact, the reason a pacifist planet like Cassilis has a security system there at all- some of that stuff is very valuable indeed.

Skorzeny will speak to you. He's just finished talking to Volun.

Well, Andro didn't see that coming! He quickly recovers and resumes his quest for the ball. He could already tell that he's going to like this game. A lot.
"Droids, Block them!" Andro calls out and rushes onward.

(I'll try to go for GATHERing the ball, BLOCKing anything Blue that gets in my way.)
