"How do you know Father Varm?" Gallagher asks. "Seems like he would care to keep to himself. Ah well, I know nothing of the Synod. You?"

"I don't know him!" he says. "Except that I have seen him around. Like I said, I went to fimnd someone who looked the part to double up against you two with.

"And they are not big in business, being all charity proponents, so I have no need for any knowledge of them."

"Heh! Well, I'll be seeing you around, I'm sure," Gallagher says to Deel. "Good luck with anything you need luck for."

Gallagher will head off to find his 'next day' schedule.

You aren't actually done for today yet, having one more thing to do.

Zaland, who was watching the game, meets you outside the changing rooms.

"I don't like that man," he says, referring to Varm. "He's dangerous."

"And he doesn't like us," Gallagher says, nodding to Zaland. "He certainly has some skill in combat, from the looks of his build. He is an Ordained Priest of the Synod of Ferradyne. Know anything of them?"

"That doesn't add up," says Zaland. "I might not have your... talents, but bodyguarding takes instincts of its own, and I know a killer when I see one. But the Synod are all pacifists."

Andro, who has similar instincts for spotting fighters, concurs. Varm is no sportsman, other than being fit; his instincts were those of a warrior. Keep that in proportion though- he sure as hell isn't better than you, Andro.

"He's a danger to you," says Zaland.

"Curious," Gallagher says to his bodyguard. "Well, I will just have to hope that he does not try anything vicious against me. He doesn't like me or Andro, though. However, I'm sure the two of you could put him down if he did. Hopefully he won't."

"I should like to find out about the delegation he is with, but all in due time. I'm ready for some more relaxing..."

"Well, I believe we are all booked into the sensory deprivation tanks this evening..."

Gallagher raises an eyebrow.

"What are those?"

"Well, you two are the ones who checked out the brochures for them at the starport!"

Gallagher shrugs.

"Whatever, let's go to it..."

Is there anything you want to do between now and this evening?

No, not before this evening. It is night time that I want Andro to sneak around to find out about Varm's delegation.

Though, could Gallagher ask Dr. Mirani or his nurse about the delegation?

Mirani is busy, but Hasina is always on call.

Good! Gallagher will ask Hasina about the delegation Varm is with.

"Well, what do you need to know about them for?" she asks. "I shouldn't really give information about other clients."

"Oh, alright," Gallagher says. "Just curious."

Fast-forwards to evening!

"I'm listening"

(Wow! I missed a little today, didn't I? Allow me a small catch-up post.)

Andro returned Gallagher's quick triumphant grin, and walked over to where the men were talking. He listened to the exchange, but said nothing; although he was a bit taken aback at the 'May the Force be with you.' comment. Standing outside the arena, he agrees with Zaland's measure of 'Father' Varm.

Later, after Gallagher speaks with Hassina, Andro speaks to him in private.
"I've been thinking about that Varm guy. I think he knows. Or at least strongly suspects, that we are Jedi. It was too convenient for him to be a Force worshipper, to explain away his 'May the Force be with you.' Zaland said the Synod are pacifists, and he clearly is not. I would suggest that either Zaland or I are with you at all times, even in our rooms. I can handle him, but like Zaland said, he's a danger to you."

"I'll check his group out tonight after we are done with the tanks, but make sure you stay here."

Indeedy Jazz- in fact, I could have kept going last night, but I thought you deserved a chance for comment!

Your nurses will be with you for your jaunt to the sensory deprivation tanks.

"This is an important part of your programme here," explains Hasina, pausing for a moment to slightly lower her medical jacket where it was exposing just a little too much of her thighs- deliberately or otherwise, you do not know. Your nurse is been just as passively flirtatious, Andro. "Too much exercise in this Galaxy is hard activity and nothing else. Here on Spiridos we understand the natural bio-rhythms of the body that are the real way to improve bodily health.

"The deprivation tanks do as they say, of course- they cut you off from all sensory experience. But they also use an advanced form of anasthaesia to calm and relax the subject into a deep sleep quite unlike any other you will have had. The method is entirely sonic in application- no drugs!"

You arrive now in the chamber, which is soft, cool, and very large. There are only about a dozen tanks- large, squat black cylinders- but a large amount of open space between each one.

"The important point is this," says Anaz. "Having seen the Sanctuary inside and out... do you think you could get in there again? Not as a guest. I mean could you gain entry?"
