"Really? Please explain."
(where is he going with this??)

"I am sure you already know it," says Anaz. "People like Volun will never be happy with the way Cassilis is run. All systems are unfair to someone. Tough. He's got nothing to complain about; he lives a better life than the Z'har do. Rules are rules, and rebellion like this is like the rebellion of a spoilt child. They need to be stopped, sharply. You can neither calm them by words, nor change the cause of their discontent."

"But you then your really haven't solved anything have you? You've just quelched one revolution, more will come if you do it this way. This is just a temporary fix to a long term problem."

"They have gone a thousand years without it happening; they can go a thousand again. Twenty four thousand years before that suggests it might never happen again. I very much doubt it will. This is just... one of those things. They are, after all pacifists."

"Pasifists that are seem a bit too quick to violence."

"Yes, I agree. That makes this unique. Once i have crushed it, it will be over."

"I'm still keeping that as a last resort."

"I wonder just how many options are left for you to exhaust. I doubt any can give a better resolution than my plan."

"That sounds reasonable, Zaland. Thank you." he looks to his partner. "Sound good to you?"

Gah, agonising... where is Alkaselzer?

Events continue to pass on Cassilis. It seems you have missed the second round of negotiations in its entirity- there is a lot of shouting going on, and the merting is breaking up.

(Let's just move on. I've got to stop checking for his approval with every decision. Let's just hop into the tanks, and if there's nothing to role-play during that time, let's move on to the late evening and I'll try to get info on Varm's group.)

"You know Volun's position is futile, As do I. All we have to do is convince him of that. And that is what I am planning on doing."

"You won't talk Volun out of it. You'll have to PROVE it is futile. Disconnect the bombs."

You know, Roan, I'm beginning to think that there is no other way, much to Jelena's dismay.

Does the thing look like it could be some sort of key or detonator or a device used to kill?

A detonator- you don't see how. It clearly connects to something, and therefore would blow your hand off.

You doubt those prongs do much in the way of being fatal either. You get no danger sense when playing with it, and run your fingers over it, safely.

Bit complex for a key.

Many apologies, Andro, but I really do need Gallagher for the next bit.

"I agree, Akron, that would be a way to get us cut off...but..." Gallagher ponders for a moment. "I don't think we should worry about it. If we could, then we should try to take it in shifts, but it would be awkward..."

Well, Zaland will go ahead with his plan to stand guard then.

Which means it is now time for the two of you to enter the deprivation tanks! Your nurses will be looking after you and some other clients during the process of entering the rest, which is designed to last about four hours, leaving you a one hour leisure period before retiring to your rooms.

This is obviously a popular area and many of the units are busy; you two are placed apart; Andro somewhere in the middle, and Gallagher on the far end.

As you rest back, suitably attired, into the comfy rest pods, the gentle anastaesia programme begins. The sonic pulses that lull you into rest are virtually undetectable- except with the Force- over the genle music that pipes into your ears. It really is very relaxing already!

Gallagher settles back into the tank, relaxing as the program begins, trying to keep his Senses open to know when they cut out.

(Hey, no problems here.)

Andro watches Gallagher settle into his tank before getting into his own. He really wasn't as relaxed about being put out as Gallagher was. He trusted Zaland, sure, after all he'd been a protector for so long. But, he thought to himself laying back, what could go that wrong in the middle of a hospital in a well-populated room...
