"That sounds fascinating, don't you think Scroop?" Andro looks around in awe at the room's contents. "I can't wait to try these things out." Suddenly, a thought hits him, and he whispers quietly in Gallagher's ear.
"I may be paranoid, but this would be a great way to get attacked. Cut off from senses is one thing, but anesthetized? We'd never feel anyone even through the Force. Do you think we need to worry about it? Or should we just enjoy ourselves?"

"You don't want to look too suspicious," offers Zaland. "Look, I wasn't hockey playing, so it looks less odd from me- why don't I back out and keep a watch?"

"The important point is this," says Anaz. "Having seen the Sanctuary inside and out... do you think you could get in there again? Not as a guest. I mean could you gain entry?"

Uh-oh, Roan. I suggest, if anything, that if you agree, say that you yourself will not be doing it.

Jelena- you have this slowly growing bad feeling about the device you found.

Hmm. What to do though? Not even Miran knew what it was, nor did my Master.

No- it is an enigma for you alone.

To repeat its description- it is a small black rod, not unlike a pocket torch. It is light, but most definitely technological- it is encased seamlessly. There is a single button at the back, which when you push it, causes a small number of mechanical tendrils to extrude from the end of the device and waggle around, as if looking for something.

I have 2 theroys about that thing...
Either its the key to the great doors, or its the key to the secret vault...

"Possibly, although I would probably not be the one to do that."

"I disagree," says Anaz. "I believe you are precisely the one to do that. There are two very important things that could be achieved by you breaking into the Sanctuary."

And I say Jelena alone, but Roan can work on it too.

alright cool...
I'll keep making completly unsupported theroys....

"Why?"

"Why you? Because I imagine it will require your superior talents to gain entry.

"As to what you could achieve... well, first of all, the guns."

And I forgot to mention this before, but when inside, you could see how Volun had ordered several of the havy laser defences ripped from their moorings and laid out in the outer courtyard to point at the entrance doors.

"Those heavy guns are of course the main obstacle to a direct assault. From the inside you could disable them in advance."

"I don't know if I'd want to do that... It would be specificly causing an attack, and I don't want to take that option just yet."

"I am surprised you do not yet think it has inevitably come to that. But you should hear my second idea for you also."

"I just want to keep my options opened untill I feel I can make an unbiased judgment. And please go on."

He leans back.

"If you were to go in, say... 30 minutes before my attack? That would give you ample time, having seen everything...

... to disable or remove the incendiary devices.

"With their only effective weapon gone, they will know their cause is lost. If they do not surrender immediately, it cannot be long afterwards until they do. They can be compelled to leave the Sanctuary. Once that is done, and the direct threat to peace removed, I can stand my men down, and you can resume negotiations under whatever terms you think are appropriate."

(I'm thinking that if we DO have to attack, We should do it that way. But I still don't wanna attack though...)

"Possibly. Now what I would like to know Is to your knowledge, what happened to actually Cause this situation? I mean the actions that were taken by both parties."

"I didn't get here until after it started," says Anaz, "so I have no astounding insights about the cause. I don't think it really matters, does it?"

'Yes it does. Very much so."

"I don't see why. The situation is as it is and must be resolved quickly."

"But by seeing why it was made the way it is may help the resolvation. Preferably without bloodshed."

"I doubt it," says Kuylen, turning off the simulation. "These issues effect the very fabric of this planet. They have existed for millennia. This is just an... unusual symptom. You can't 'resolve' it, Trilanger. With all due respect... the problem is older and bigger than all of us."
