(Well, unless I can come up with another angle, is it something I can simply look up somewhere? I was thinking about trying to act like a buyer for my 'boss' but that probably wouldn't work with the establishment here, and could lead to other complications. Andro will look it up if he can, if not I'll think of an angle while I'm at work.)

You can get a certain amount of information by looking it up, yes. And indeed- lacking Lying or Savoir-Faire, you'll never get away with such impersonation.

Aspidrol is indeed a stimulant but one of the reasons it is an illegal substance- and the reason it fetches a good criminal price- is its extreme strength. It also makes it incredibly dangerous when abused, a reason it is such a blight.

Its main use in medicine is in fact revival- aspidrol is used to try and recussitate dying patients. It can also be used as a revival agent for people who had to be put into a near-death state for truly invasive procedures.

Alright Jelena, now lock up my ship Turn on every defence and such so that it won't open unless a correct password is given.
Then go outside and try to open my ship with the device.

"Oh I see... Another thing. Why are you so worried about the vault if Volun can't ever get to it?"

If you say so...

Jelena will remove the device from the ship's main computer, then lock up the ship and turn on all the defenses (set to activate once she leaves). As soon as Roan's ship locks up and the defenses turn on, Jelena uses the device to try and open Roan's ship.

Jelena- you get the exact same result. If it took any longer, you didn't notice it.

Miran looks at you as if you are a cretin, Roan.

"I told you already. It's not him I'm worried about. It's you."

Roan, your thoughts? I have noticed that it can bypass any and all defensive systems on anything we have used it on so far, perhaps it could have been used to disable the perimeter defenses around the Sanctuary?

I can see why the Abbott needs it.

Is it possible for Gallagher to stand at the entrance to the Synod's area and try to get someone's attention? Knock, ring the buzzer, etc.?

No because Volun woulda hung on to it. I think its to be used in opening the vault.

"But that doesn't make any sence. You were clearly paranoid about this before you even knew that I was coming. You called Kuylen in almost immediatly, before even the council was notifyed of this going on. So if you are worried about something I represent, you must have a general suspition about the council, but the way I have seen it, they have had access the the vault all the time, why would they wait for now to take anything out of it? My only conclusion is that there is a third party that not only knows about the vault but would stop at nothing to get in."

"Don't try and bamboozle me, Jedi. You know full well that the Council has NO access to the Vault. That is why they have sent you. Stop wasting my time."

I am afraid you have lost Miran as an information source at this point.

-

Gallagher- making an assumption there, aren't you?

You'd have to have rather obviously crossed the 'do not cross' rope barrier to get to a point where you could draw attention to yourself, but you can do that if you wish,. Gallagher, yes.

Oh, I meant if I could do it from behind the 'do not cross' barrier, without going past it.

If you read what I said there, I said that is what you would HAVE to do to get attention, see?

Traced that assumption?

(Do you mean that he's assuming that the Abbot actually needs the aspidrol? Btw, I can't think of any reasonable, non-suspcious reason a bodyguard would be asking about illegal drugs. Also, what I had intended to look up, although that was useful anyway, was the path a drug like aspidrol would take through the hospital's system. I'm trying to figure out where the drugs might physically be, or at least where they are supposed to be.)

Correct- no-one has ever said the Abbot was using aspidrol

I am afraid you can't find that information just by looking up stuff, Andro. Though as I mentioned earlier, you can always try and sneak into the place they keep all the drugs.

Sorry, I was a bit tired when I posted. Damned world...

Gallagher would like to talk to whoever greets him about speaking with the Abbott.

*prepares to shoot self....*

Things never go perfect- soldier on!

Assuming you climb the stairs, Gallagher, how exactly are you attracting attention in the corridor up there?

Yea ok...
Now I really need to DO something that activly effects something.

Gallagher will make calls of "Excuse me?" and "Hello?"

(I was halfway through my second large paragraph of ramblings, when something hit me, so I started over. In trying to guess where the hospital might keep the aspidrol, I was imagining some extremely large room/warehouse with crates full of stuff. Then it hits me, that drugs aren't big items. Millions of dollars of drugs have been found in small cars' trunks and seats. Now, dealing with a galaxy's worth of drugs, instead of a town's is different, but perhaps still not on the scale I was imagining.

It also come to me that the distribution point could be something more out in the open. Like when Andro saw Father Varm getting medication for the Abbot. No one said that the Abbot takes aspidrol, but no one said that that wasn't aspidrol in the bag. That's a hypothetical example for now, I'm still not sure whether or not to suspect the Synod. But something to think about when trying to figure out just what is going on here.

So, Andro will try to first figure out where the hospital might keep/store their medicines before they go to the pharmacy. (Assuming the Pharmacy isn't the only place they keep the stuff.) If he can find it in a directory he will, or he'll try some other way of figuring it out.)

---

While Gallagher went to try to contact the Abbot, Andro sat down at his terminal and looked up the hospital directory. He ran a search for all pharmacy outlets and medicine storage areas. he figured if the storage areas weren't listed, then perhaps there might be some kind of floor plan. That floor plan may not mark out medicine storage areas directly, he figured that he could use the process of elimination to whittle down the areas he would need to explore.

Gallagher, you are confronted by a rather sleek looking young woman, who comes out of one of the side doors.

"What the hell are you doing up here?" she asks. "Didn't you see the barrier? These are private quarters!"

-

Andro- easy. When stuff arrives here (and in fact, the aspidrol is grown and refined from its raw state on Spiridos itself) it goes direct to the Pharmacy, which has a huge storage area oiut back.
