No, they return to their rooms at this point.

"Not good, this is not good," Gallagher mutters to himself as he grinds his teeth. He goes to find Zaland, and explains what happened.

"I have no idea what to do, Zaland," Gallagher says. "I feel it is my duty to save the Abbott from whatever terrible fate Varm and this Kathya have planned for him, and yet I have no way to contact him."

"You should have gotten Andro to break in whilst you were distracting them," says Zaland. "Ah well, too late now. Look, the Abbot can't stay up there all the time, can he? He has to go for treatment."

Yeah, what he said! *throws rock at Gallagher*

*destroys the world*

"True, I should have, but you know me, Zaland, I am not very skillful with coordinating plans," Gallagher says. "Besides, you are right; we have but one day to find him during his treatments, preferably before them. You and Andro will keep near to me, in case Varm decides to take action against me. He was going to draw a gun, I swear it..."

"From what you say, though, it seems the woman is in charge and she's told him not to. Unless you find something... in which case, I won't let you out my sight."

"Thank you, Zaland," Gallagher says, patting him on the shoulder. "Your ancestors would be proud, as is the entire Klinge-Faust family."

"As is my duty. What is the plan?"

"We will wait for the Abbott to leave his quarters," Gallagher says. "Once he does, I will approach him. If Varm takes hostile action in front of the Abbott, I suspect that it will be forfeit. Unless the Abbott is as nasty a person as Varm is, he will hear me out, hopefully in private."

"I've been checking on this Abbot," says Zaland. "I think you will find he is no Varm. Apparently he was personally responsible for relieving the famine on Zeskus V and he brokered the peace deal on Eridorean. He's something of a hero."

"Thank the Force for that," Gallagher says. "Then I have no doubt he will hear my plea."

"But what plea? A stranger comes to him and says one of his own Priests is conspiring against him?"

"That would be foolish of me. I would rather come to him saying that I must speak with him, that it is urgent, and not a thing to be discussed publicly. If Varm or Kathya try to push me away, I will tell the Abbott- and those two- that they can be present while we discuss, though I would prefer it not. Of course, if they were present, as you would be, and Andro."

"Did I leave out or forget anything important?"

"No... but what actually will you tell him?"

"Most likely I will try to find an opportunity to tell him that he is in grave danger, and not from his disease. I will explain what I can."

"Good luck with that... but I fail to see where the drugs come into it all."

"It is possible that Varm and Kathya have something to do with it. When they said they were suspecting assassins, it was not believable. I could sense it. They're up to more than just ridding themselves of Abbott Sienar."

"Then we'll need to prove that, or warnings to the Abbot won't be enough to shut this thing down."

(shit shit shit shit shit)

ditto 🙄

(Well, at least you got something for your effort. Andro is returning to the rooms to discuss things with Gallagher, he'll try to infiltrate the storeroom at night.)

Andro walks back into the room where Gallagher and Zaland are talking.
"Well, I'm not going to get into the storeroom during the day. I'll try to go back tonight. It has to be where the aspidrol is kept. I'm hoping something will be obviously out of sorts down there. How was your day?"

"Not well, I'm afraid. I went to see the Abbott, but Varm almost pulled a gun on me- I've seen the action before- and this woman named Kathya called security, though she seems to have control over Varm. Varm is next in line to be Abbott, but I can see his hurtful intent. I judged that I have one day with which to save the Abbott. And I'm thinking that Varm and Kathya have to do something with the drug smuggling."
