USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (JEDI)- Revelations

I assume you wrote that before seeing my post there, Andro! But in any case, that can indeed be what you were saying just as Twain rounded the corner and hailed you guys.

(Yeah, I hadn't seen that until just now.)

Just as Andro shouts. 'The BODY OF DEEL TWAIN', he sees Deel approach, just after everyone else. He stares blankly at Deel for several seconds... Then he shuts his jaw and uncrosses his arms. "What...?" Is all he can get out.

"Mr. Twain," says Varm. "You are looking well."

"Never better! Why, were you talking about me? What was that about my body? I'm not denying my shape has improved during my stay here, but that's no reason for you guys to be jealous!"

"I think," says Doctor Mirani, "that it might be a good idea if everyone returned to their rooms at this point. And I think that I should speak to the Klinge-Faust delegation."

It took all of Andro's Jedi-instilled control not to strangle Varm when he said that. A Jedi knows no anger, but they can get very annoyed.
"Well, *I* think we should all go and see just what IS in Varm's drawer."

"I don't think there is any need to indulge any of your silly fantasies," says Kathya. "Doctor Mirani, I MUST protest..."

"It's ok, Kathya, there is no harm done," interjects the Abbot., Both Varm and Kathya look at him sharply and you don't need the Force to know they are both annoyed. "I'm not entirely sure exactly what has caused them to say such things, but I don't think they are the malicious types."

"That's very magnanimous of you, your Grace," says Mirani, "but as Director of this Facility, I feel I should at least make a few things clear."

"Of course, of course," says the Abbot, "you must do as you feel fit, but please do not judge them too harshly."

The Abbot staggers slightly to one side again, and reaches out a hand to steady himself. It's the other hand from last time- and this one looks even worse. The fingers are all there this time, but there is nothing you recognise as flesh at all. The hand is virtually skeletal, with only a few rotting tendons connecting the bones, and green fungal growths holding it together.

Varm produces a small black blindfold.

"We should get you to your room, your Grace. I think the bright lights of the corridor will be too much for you right now."

"Yes yes, of course..." says the Abbot. Before long, he is heading back up the stairs, helped by Varm and Kathya, and you hear the strain of an angry comment from one of them, and a comment back from the Abbot about forgiveness.

Mirani wants to see you in your rooms, as he said.

(Andro will follow, unless Gallagher has anything to add.)

Andro decides to finally calm down. With a defeated air, he listens to the Doctor.

Well, the Doc doesn't have a great deal to say other than chewing you out for causing so much trouble with their most distinguished guests, and that good credit or not, you'll be expelled from the facility if you carry on like that, blah blah blah.

Wlel, that's that bit done. You can think about what just happened (and see if you can unravel what the freaking hell is going on), but Andro still has a task lined up. Gallagher I am less sure about right now.

When the Doctor leaves, Andro sits down with Zaland and Gallagher.

"What the Hell is going on here? I know what a dead body looks like, I've made enough of them myself." he starts. "How in the Galaxy could Deel have shown up like that, and if he's alive, just who or what was in that drawer? I couldn't have imagined it, you don't get gassed and shot at for imagining things. Not on a planet this close to the Core anyhow." he sits back and thinks for a bit. "Well, the Abbot is still in danger, and I've still got to look for the aspidrol. I'm still going hunting for that tonight. Whatever you do don't go anywhere outside this room without Zaland. Varm is one of the more dangerous men I've ever met. It wouldn't be a problem with a lightsaber, but..." he gestures to his saberless hip. "What are you going to do?"

Can Gallagher have used Empathy back there to suss what Mirani is worried about, seeing as I was not present for that conversation?

And Gallagher would like to have a further conversation with Doctor Mirani.

Mirani was afraid of Varm. And you'll need a good pitch as he's not greatly interested in talking.

Aha.

Gallagher wants to talk to Mirani about what was happening there, after having found out more from Akron.

Also...where did Deel appear from? The stairs leading down from the Synod area?

That's not a good pitch, so no you can't.

Hmm...do you think we could RP it out? I seem to do better when I have something to respond to, rather than just "Let's try this! *hits green button*"

Edited, btw.

Give me a line and I'll consider it!

Twain came around the corner, from the recreation area.

Peculiar.

How about this...?

"Doctor, I wished to speak with you about making a change to my schedule?"

"You can speak to your nurse about that," he says.

"I would rather discuss it with you, Doctor," Gallagher says. "I can understand that you would rather not talk with me, currently, but it doesn't mean I can't persist."

"Well, I am very busy," he says "so you will have to make an appointment for tomorrow."

"Busy with what, exactly?" Gallagher says. "I would prefer it be now."

"Business. I do run this hospital. Good day."

Persuasion not your strong point, of course. Convo is over.
