More people around than you might have thought, Andro. Maybe they do all their shifting work at night; it must be said, you never see anyone lumping around stuff during the day.
Getting into the incoming cargo area isn't too hard. Whilst it is in use, you don't need Fix-It, and you have Intrusion enough toi sneak past a few dumb loading workers.
This is a big facility, and the loading area is pretty damn large. Several cargo areas surround the facility- this is the only one for incoming traffic, though. The large cargo area, where the crates are being stored, gives way to a landing platform outside, where vast metallic girders stretch up from the entrance to support an overhanging roof that keeps much of the loading area in shade (it can get pretty warm on Spiridos, though it's not very helpful at night).
Right now you are concealed behind a stack of empty cargo trolleys- what is the plan?
(Well, already this is suspicious to me. Why would a Hospital have only one incoming shipping area and numerous outgoing ones? Unless they are shipping out much more than they receive, but that seems odd for a hospital. A shipping hub, maybe, but not a hospital. Seems very conducive to drug trafficing.
Are the crates labeled in any way? Andro will try to use the cover of crates and trolleys to work his way around to see what the hospital is receiving. I'm thinking that there might be something out of place for a hospital. (Like tractor parts 😉 ) If there's nothing out of place here, I'd like to make my way over to any of the shipping(outgoing) areas, and snoop around there. The intrusion method, wherever applicable would be to stay low and keep crates, trolleys and whatever large objects between me and any workers I can see or Sense. )
The outgoing landing pads- which are smaller than this one- are for the private use of guests who pay enough to not have to use the public starport. All the loading is done here for convenience, you would imagine- but yes, such a set-up is indeed conducive to smuggling.
The crates are labelled, yes, though you would have to get close. You can either try that, and risk being spotted by foreman and workers and the like, or you can try and get a look at the manifests, but that involves breaking into an office or suchlike.
Meanwhile, Gallagher, as you wait pensively in the night, there is a knock at your door.
(Andtually, somehting like that crossed my mind, but I forgot it by the tme I posted. Yes, I'll try to get to the logs or manifests. It'll be risky, but quicker than pouring over every crate in the place. I'll move to somewhere I can watch the office enterance to see if and how often it's being used, see if there's a good time to get in.)
Andro stays perfectly still in his hiding spot, watching the office entrance for a way in, trying to guage when best to enter to search for shipping logs.
It's ok- as ever, this place isn;t that secure. All you need to do is wait your moment, and with the benefit of Sense, as you specified, your timing as to when people are coming is spot on.
Now, without Fix-It, you won't be able to hack the manifests to find out all manner of information, but you can get the basics of what you are after.
Before long, after a bored-looking admin type leaves the office, you have snuck in with speed and flicking quickly through the manifests.
There- coming in from the drug refinieries on the other side of the planet- aspidrol. Vast amounts of it.
The exporting end means checking out the various privately-used docks. It might interest you to know that the Synod have one of those.
Distribution of the aspidrol is very simple. A tiny amount goes to replace decayed stocks for the operational procedures area- little is needed as few operations are performed here (in fact, you suspect a lot of it is cosmetic, this place being more a health farm than casualty department).
Nearly all of it is labelled as going to somewhere called 'Tranquil Repose'. That's all you have.
('Tranquil Repose', eh? Noted. (Sounds like a retirement village, or a funeral home.) Are there any persons' names associated with these listing? As in does it have who signed the shipment in, or who might be in charge of the distribution? Also, is there any way I can obtain a duplicate of this document? Any office equipment that might help me out. I'd hate to have someone alter or dispose of this thing. I doubt I can steal it, as I'm sure it'd be missed. If neither, I'll move on. I'd like to find another simple terminal to run a search on 'Tranquil Repose' before I decide to go to the Synod's pad. I'd hate to get caught bothering them again so soon, if there's somewhere else I should go first.)
Andro knows he's found a sizeable part of the jackpot when he sees sees that the lion's share of aspidrol is being diverted to something called 'Tranquil Repose'. He quickly looks around to office to see if there is any means to duplicate this document.
'That's all you have' means just that I am afraid- you have a rather plain distribution list with no idea of who inputted it and so forth. You can run off a copy easily enough though.
Sneaking back out the area, you get to a terminal and try and look up what Tranquil Repose is.
In fact, that doesn't take very long, and there are all sorts of electronic brochures and advertising for it.
It appears to be a major service this facility offers in the area of cryogenics; the permanent 'storage' of those with incurable diseases to keep them stable until such time as a cure is found and they can be revived and treated.
(Ok, that's something, anyhow. Is there any chance that Andro might get into Tranquil Repose before the morning? If not, I'll return to Gallagher. Although I know I'm out of synch with him again, as he hasn't opened that door yet.)
Andro looks at the terminal to get an idea of where Tranquil Repose is in relation to his location. He hopes it's close enough to get to before being start getting out of bed. After deciding, he checks to make sure the document is secure and heads off.
