"No problem, Marcus!" Xeth replies to his friend, closing the door to the room behind him."I am here to wipe out the Cult! We were contracted by a worried survivor who had taken active plans to destroy the Cult for what they've done. So, we're here for somewhat the same reason."

"There is a survivor?"
~Two pages back.~
"Yes, Xeth there was a jedi knight, named Sareena, aboard this liner. Normally that would be enough to stop a few pirates. So the fact that she was onboard and this liner was still taken is a grave concern for the council. The reason I'm telling you this in private is because the council does not wish the locals would see this as the reason for sudden jedi involvement. Which it isn't but one can never be too sure.
So a survivor huh? I thought there was none, would be interesting to meet him, you think you can arrange that?"
Arken hmm'ed slightly to himself as he turned his attention to the scans of the Cultists planet, seeing as the star charts revealed little information. After a few minutes of pondering over the situation, he finally spoke alloud. "Well.." he started. "It seems like the planet itself is almost completely jungle, aside from a few structures on the surface.. but with due to the large number of cultists, and impressive assortment of ships, it's more than likely they have a large underground network of buildings. This could cause problems if we are forced to attack them.. Did anyone else find anything useful?"
I think we are pretty much down with the ship, unless anyone else has some ideas of what we should check out now.
"I understand they use the old temples of a civilisation that once existed there," says Kiro. "They don't show up well from aerial shots of the jungle."
Actually, you are now pretty certain that their ships couldn't have had the fuel for that attack, Arken.

Actually, there is lots to do with the ship! Just that I am not starting the full forensic process until Marcus and Xeth are done.
Though if anyone else searches anywhere specific I can get you some results there.
"No, not really," Xeth says to Marcus, with a cheesy, 'I'm so full of shit' grin. He quickly glances around, then leans closer to Marcus to whisper.
"Don't tell the other Knights...but...we weren't sent by the Council. I went with that so that we'd have authority here. Thing is, the Techno Union is involved; I have been sent by Taloraan."
*Marcus understanding Xeth's grin*
"I see, involvement of the Techno-Union, kinda figured that out with those Techno-pirates. So working for Taloraan, again? Well anywayz it doesn't matter why you are here just that you are here. I'll let you do your job and you'll let me do mine I suppose. If you need anything just ask."... small pauze.. "Did your contacts provide anything useful about this cult? the council wants its attacks to stop and I'm not feeling much for a second Droben. so?"
"I always work for Taloraan, Marcus," Xeth says with another sly grin. "And it does matter. None of the other Knights are to know. Vlad and Arken must be left out of the loop. I will most likely have to stress that to my cohorts."
"Most useful tidbit is that good old Cirus Cannes moved a few droid armies out here for sales due to the Cult attacks. He didn't make a profit and had to bring them back...but, gasp! They disappeared. And then the Cult attacks picked up. But we're not sure how they're connected, so that's where I come in."
"But, a Jedi Knight? That isn't good news..."
Would Xeth have known this Jedi?
Okidokey then! Now everything has been established, we can push forwards. Kiu, during his absence, is checking out the ship's logs. Marcus is off to Sareena's cabin. You have access to star charts and similar gumf, and some people are still searching the ship. but I'll need more specific searching instructions.
Kiu has turned up something. He has a broadcast from the security teams at the point the Cult broke through the bulkheads- no visual, sadly.
The fragment is highly distorted but it seems to indicate that the bulkheads were useless. He can trace where it was sent from.
Well I think Arken will go and check the Engine room next. It stands to reason that if the ship was being attacked, they would immediately jump to light speed to escape, yet that never happend. So they were either confident they could repell the attack (Which I doubt), or they were simply surrounded and couldn't move into position to jump to light speed. Also, it could be that the engine room was simply over whelmed right away as one of their first targets, but I suspect there might be more to it.
They were interdicted. Common pirate trick involving the creation of a fake gravity well, inside which you cannot hyperspace (you always have to clear the snigificant bulk of a planbet's gravity before hyperspacing).
Then once they had blown a hole in the side of the ship and latched their own ship in, the Phoenix didn't have much of a chance to do anything about it.
As it happens, the pirates boarded in the living quarters, near the cargo bay.
