Killed by a lightsaber? And why would they leave their dead behind, but leave no one else?

Yes, a lightsabre slash.

And what makes you think they took everyone else? They did no such thing.

cool, the body needs to be expected, I'll follow her most likely pad

Marcus, you are following her trail. The dead Cultist- killed by a sabre- is beyond the bulkheads that originally seleaed them in. You don't have the timing of the attack but that must have been minutes in, at least. You doubt she was sitting in here all this time. She would have sensed something wrong before the ship was attacked, and certainly heard the hull breach.

Now you... you would have gone to the emergency assembly points to see if everyone was alright...

-

It had taken 30 wasted seconds of fumbling to extract her lightsabre from her luggage. She blamed herself; she knew the truth, that a Jedi is never really off-duty.

Section C5- closest fire point. Robeless, she dashed down the corridor...

-

Section C5, Marcus. A massacre. Here, passengers cowered, awaiting safety from the security forces that never came. The Pirates killed them all. The stench of death is everywhere.

But no dead pirates here. And no dead Jedi. Sareena never made it here. Something must have made her turn back... the breach of the bulkheads? She might have felt the gorwing threat, Sareena was meant to be quite senstive. That feels right but... if the pirates breached the bulkheads in less than the two minutes it just took you to run from her cabin to the assembly point... that's ridiculous. You wonder if the bulkheads were properly closed.

-

Sareena stopped, paused. Something was wrong. Something felt badly wrong. Pausing, she moved to her waist and pulled up her communciator, quickly tuning into the security wavelength.

-

Kiu, up on the bridge, you have decoded much of that transmission. You shudder as you hear the voice of the comms operator, now dead less than two feet away from you.

-

"Say again, over."

"Inner bulkhead A5 breached! We can't [garbled]... dead already! The bulkheads [garbled] and will not hold!"

The comms officer did a desperate check on systems.

"Confirm that all security systems are working normally!" he said, with a trace of panic.

"No! Nothing is wrong! They just can't [garbled] won't stand up! I need more teams here immediately before [garbled]... have no effect! And... oh my God... it's too late!"

A noise sounds, that you do not recognise.

"Post A3, report. A3, report! A3" [transmission becomes unrecognisable]

-

Marcus, moving back in the other direction, you see blast marks on the wall by the dead pirate.

-

Sareena was already dashing back the other way. She saw the first Cultist as she dashed past her cabin. She did not hesitate, moving straight for him. Surprised, he loosed off three shots at her, each of which she deflected deftly into the walls, before cutting him down

-

Dead security down the end of the corrdior, Marcus- and more dead pirates. Her trail continues that way.

Other folks- don't forget that Kiu has thrown up a lead for you!

I'll keep on following it, and people start thinking about that message.

Hmm, to me it sounds like the cultists were not just packing normal blasters as their only meanse of attack. From the sound of that transmission it almost sounds like they had some kind of super weapon which was plowing through these guards. Just a thought, of course.

No-one is following Kiu's lead.

Xeth will step in, and try to recognize the noise that occurred towards the end of the transmission, his head bowed in concentration.

Kiu is already handling the records as well as can be done; that's not the point.

I said Kiu had thrown up something earlier and everyone ignored it.

Oh, the security team's transmission. Was that what was just played?

Yes, he's getting more info on it. But he has the trace and therefore the location.

Well, where then?

Ata part of the outer bulkhead ring that was drawn around the pirates, apparently given the security classification A3.

Xeth will head to Bulkhead A3, then.

The bulkheads themselves are not named, those seem to be references the security team drew up for the particular situation.

This, then, is where the pirates broke through the defence ring drawn around them.

Gee. They must have had a powerful laser lance. This bulkhead is pretty thick and very strong, but it has actually been cut away in its entirity. Rather than just cutting a man-size hole, someone actually bothered to slice through the entire of the circumference so it fell out its frame entirely.

A few dead pirates. But really... not many, and some two dozen dead security people.

Burnt clothing around, too, Shot off by blaster file?

You kneel down by one. Someone's vindictive. This guard has been shot some three dozen times. The one next to him too... shot over and over and over again.

The worst shock comes last. There are four guards behind barricades directly facing the bulkhead. They have been sliced more or less in half.

Xeth shakes his head at the brutally overkilled guards, then frowns as he heads over to where the others lay bisected.

"What have we here..."

Sliced clean through, with no sign of effort.

The wounds are cauterised.

Xeth's frown becomes a look of unfortunate recognition.

"No..." Xeth says. Lightsaber?

It's certainly consistent with a lightsabre blow.

Sareena did not come this way, did she? Would Marcus be approaching A3 on his follow of her path?
