To have a 'good' route to Charaeus it only needs to be in this vague area of space.

err cant remember from briefing but theyve robbed other people. Can we narrow down any pattern to the ships theyve roobed, or what area the ships have been in.

Every other attack they have made has been on cargo shipping, so they could get as much useful gear as possible.

I say that their motive was to get the agricultural gear to aid in the new base, wherever that is. Doesn't help much...
