"Look, if you do not allow this man to aid us in apprehending this other base, there could be more trouble than just the Cult attacking Alzarius, and numerous other systems. We believe the Cult is in possession of a droid army, and we have no doubt that they intend to use it in some form or another. Can you think of anything an army is useful for other than attacks and invasions?"
"I don't believe that for one moment," he says. "The Cult doesn't have the ships or the logisitical capacity to attack our world."
And if they did it with a fully functional droid army, the Union would be exposed; you're barking up the wrong tree there.
-
Ok, Vlad, you are moving ahead down the jungle track. Movement here is much faster, as some attempts have already been made to cut the undergrowth back, but it is not long before you sense human life not far ahead of you on the track.
Oh, okay.
"Look, a bigger cause to the Cult attacks, there are," Vera-Kin sighs. "The Cult, in the past, attacked Alzarius every once and awhile, and after Alzarius set up the scanning field towards Charaeus, they had very little chance to attack unseen. However, someone has set up an offer with the Cult. The smugglers here thought they were just smuggling random military equipment, but the Cult has been informed of each shipment ahead of time. The Cult has been supplied with enough military parts to build a droid army, like the ones that invaded Naboo years ago."
"If you do not spare this man from arrest, things could worsen for Alzarius. We have decided that the Cult has formed a separate base, where these battle droids should be located, due to the fact that Alzarius would have seen their attacks coming, and due to the fact that a majority of their heists would have been outside their flight range if they had come from Charaeus."
"If you let this man go, then we will be able to pinpoint this base, and expose the people who caused this all to happen. The smugglers are not to blame; they were duped."
Ok, Vera, though I did just say there wasn't much point convincing him there was anything in it for him, and then you did just that by saying Alzarius was at risk- which as I say. seems unlikely.
"What would the Cult want with droid armies? And how can this man help you find anything?"
-
Ok, Vlad, you quickly move off to one side and hide behind a rise that overlooks the pathway.
The convoy starts to come soon after. There are abouit twenty cultists- hands tied behind their back, and all of them tied together in a long line. Prisoners, clearly, and being escorted towards the huge pile of burning bodies you saw earlier.
But their escort... not what you expected.
Battle droids.
