USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (DARK SIDE)- The Way Back

No, Melkor, that's too much. The idea was that you use the Force power Distract or engage the vendor in conversation.

That would attract attention to us and yeah.....we don't really want that.

I'm off to school in a couple minutes so I'll see what I can come up with and post it when I'm home.

I'll be waiting!

*Xavier goes and waits in the bathroom with Xorn*
NOT THE SAME STALL THOUGH

Well, seeing as I'm paired with Melkor, and he's away for five days or something now, I'm pretty much stuck doing nothing.

When we get to the generator part, I'd very much like to be part of the... ah... "aquisition" team. I'll play a bodyguard, whatever, but I wanna be there.

Mer....never really got my plan together....not been having the best day.

Anyway.

Rianna's going to use Distract for this, obviously. I want Rand to act like a curious shopper -- ask questions about various parts to distract the shopkeeper person; preferably parts as far from the ones I need to nab. Just no asking about putting laser batteries on podracers 😛 Ask stuff that'll keep the guy busy....stuff like exact specifications on blah blah blah (fill in the blanks yourself). Then I can steal the stuff while the guy's dealing with Rand, and pass it off to Galder or Dak, who can take the stuff to our hiding place in the bathroom. Once that's done with, Rand can say something like "Oh, well, I'm not quite sure that fits the specifications I need...thanks anyway...." and leave that stand.

Anyone care to add to that any?

Lana's plan sounds good to me and I shall execute it soon unless there are major objections.

sorry to not have been so active lately....but i'm caught up in some exams...and ...things aren't working out so well 🙂
hope i'll get back on track soon enough.

I have no objections.

I say yes to Lana.

Ok, well, in that case, this was a pretty simple operation! Right down to the point where Rianna uses Distract to make the guy hear something, he looks away, and an irritated Rand berates him for turning away whilst talking to him. In that time, you deftly fill a bag full of the stuff you need, and quickly scamper away...

All rolls are good and that is now done.

Ok, next comes the largest of the stuff you need. This lot is inside a large DIY/Home Improvement warehouse, which contains those massive multi-story shelves, and just to make it a paid, what you need is at the top of one of those shelves, which means normally you would tell a staff member you wanted to make a purchase and he would go get a robotic lifter to go get the crate for you.

You need an entire crate's worth.

Hmm....well, I'm off to school in a minute again, so I'll work on this plan while I'm gone.

Okay, about how big is the crate/how much stuff would be in it?

I haven't been quite so successful in coming up with a plan for this, but I'm working at it.

You could move it in a shopping trolley. None of the things you need to get in this part are prohibitively large.

Okie....I had a couple ideas for how to do this, I'll see if I can work one of them out enough for it to be feasible.

Okay, I had two ideas for this, not sure how good either are because I really can't come up with anything very good for it. I had a third that I completely threw out.

Anyway, the first idea had us convincing the worker who got the parts down for us (mind trick or just lying) that we had paid for the parts in advance and were just picking them up (like what we did before when we swiped the ship transponders).

The other works on me assuming that this place is set up with most stores, where you pay up front....the guy gets the parts down for us, we make like we're heading to pay for the parts, but instead Rianna and Dak (since he did express interest in helping steal) sneak the parts outside.

Neither are very good plans, I'm afraid, nor are they as airtight as my first one....but they're all I can come up with 😬 some planning help might be appreciated, guys....

I wanna know what the third one was!

Ok, contributions welcome...

Since I have no qualms about suggesting semi-stupid ideas, I'll just throw my thoughts out there.

Would it be possible to just grab some nametags from the back and a lifter, and take the crate out the back, where the loading dock is? Only need one or two people for that, and Rianna and Dak should fit the bill with their intrusion scores...

Though, you'd need Savoir-Faire to fill the role, I think.

Yay semi-stupid ideas 😂

I think Rex may be right, though.
