And we can't use the Force to disable a camera?

We're overcomplicating this, guys. Experience has shown that simple plans are almost always the best.

Oh, and MY plan Rex, MY plan! Lana just rewrote it so it would look better on a resume.

I think that was inquired about in the last episode, actually....

Yeah, plus non-complex plans are harder to mess up.

And YOU just came up with the basic idea, I was the one that turned it into an actual plan 😛

So we can't use the Force, then? It's capable of killing people and opening doors and all sorts of cool stuff, but it can't even disable a simple camera?

And let's not forget, Lana, that if it wasn't for me, you'd most likely be leaving a liability (read: employee/witness) who would definitely cause trouble later on! We need absolutely zero attention up to the point we nab the generator, and that's what I'm good for. That and stealing.

ok fine my previous post minus the kicking of the ass 😛 we swipe it with the force and carry it out! and maybe (if possible)disable the cameras descreatley so that nno one notices for a long time!

Okay, I'm sorry, DDB, but several people are probably gonna notice a giant crate floating through the air. And that still leaves the problem of getting outside the building with the crate, without paying for it.

It's not just pride for my own plan; I seriously think that's it's simply the best paln we have at the moment. I'm all for a better one, but nothing else has been suggested.

It IS the best plan at the moment, I can't come up with anything better.

And we need to be discrete about this. As in, we don't want to be noticed.

yeah we COULD desguise ourselves.... and pretend to be stealing it and the nmind trick anyone who is near and sees us with the crate and no desguises and also ! am just trying to be simple like someone said earlier!

Mind tricks = last resort. Don't want to have to rely on that if it isn't necessary. For one thing, only a handful of us can even do mind tricks. Only mind trick Rianna knows is Distract which is good for increasing my Intrusion score...and that's it. Plus what if there's a lot of people around? Can't trick them all. And it doesn't always work on everyone.

However, if we get disguises and pretend that we work there, Rianna and Dak could just walk out the front door with the stuff and not even be questioned.

DDB, THINK for a moment. Mind tricks are not perfect, they leave tons of witnesses, and "pretending to steal" the crate is absolutely no different than outright stealing it! I said we needed simple plans, not simple minds!

Blunt and to the point. I like.

Dark, seriously though, and I've said this before....stop just disregarding everything we say. We know what we're doing. Okay? We're Dark Jedi. We're criminals and on the run and we have to keep a low profile if we want to stay alive while we're in the Republic! Running around using Force powers and killing/beating up whomever we please isn't going to help anything, it'll just make matters worse.

So yeah, please keep those things in mind.

If you wanted to kill people randomly, you should have been playing three years ago. 😉

Just to punctuate what Lana said, if we go around levitating boxes and so on, the Osokans will come for us, our ships with be confiscated and transponder locked meaning they can track them everywhere they go, and we will be a known threat to the Republic (again) before we're ready.

Not to mention that you'll have to deal with the fact that the rest of the characters will likely be very pissed with you....and we're not nice people when we're angry.....

So, what about my idea of disguising at least one of us as member of the service/security? Maybe we can lure out one and steal his uniform/ID?

If we can't find spare employee tags, that's most likely what we would have to do. My only problem with that is that it creates a witness who has to come to eventually, or could be found while still incapacitated.

If we can find a way to make it work, however, that makes disabling the camera alot less likely to be investigated. It's possible that we could even retrieve the crate while our service volunteer "works" on the camera, making the process faster and more efficient.

So if we go that way, here's what I think the plan would be:

Dak and Rianna slip into the employee area and snag two (maybe three) uniforms/vests-and-nametags/whatever. One of those needs to be the uniform for service workers/janitors. If we're forced to take uniforms from somebody, we do it quick and hide/ dispose of the body (But this is a last resort and should be avoided, as it leaves evidence.)

Then we head back. Someone who has the skills to tamper with security systems puts on the service uniform, and acquires whatever means are necessary to get to the troublesome camera. Their cover story is that they are doing a routine check on the security cameras.

They disable the camera, and while it's out whoever took the other uniform(s) get a lifter, take the crate, and drive it out. Their cover story is simply that they are making a delivery.

After the lifter is gone, our service worker reactivates the camera and gets back down. From there they can either ditch the uniform or simply walk out to meet with the others.

An extra security measure may be to have everyone else who's not involved in the operation leave through the customer exit, while those involved will be able to go out other exits.

So, sound like a complete and well-developed plan? Or can anyone think of anything to add or change?

Who's to say we have to do it during open hours

Literally nothing at all. Practically, you have decided to do it now, before evening comes and the 'main event' starts. That is not enforced by me, by any means, but it would mean a change in group plan.

Sounds good to me, Dak.

And I'd personally prefer to do all the stealing before the whole generator bit starts as somehow I'm thinking that regardless of how we pull that bit off, we're going to need everyone.....

People making the delivery should have good social skills or mind-affecting Force powers in order to deal with answering potential questions and avoiding suspicion. This plan sounds good.

Why doesn't only Rianna get the tags and uniforms, but more than one set? She can carry it in a bag, so that reduces the chance of being caught.

The more people that are nicking stuff, the faster the nicking will get done. The faster we're done, the less likely we are to be caught. As Dak and Rianna are the only ones with really reliable intrusion scores, they're the ones that get tagged for such undercover things.

Melkor, I really don't see a need for high social skills or mind affects. We're trying to keep from using the Force unless we have to, and I get the feeling that deliveries aren't quite odd enough to warrant much suspicion or questions, especially with so large an item as our crate. I had thought that since Dak and Rianna got the uniforms, they could put them on inside the employee area, so they wouldn't look out of the ordinary. And obviously, whoever was wearing a uniform would have to be the person operating the lifter.

Main thing to remember: We don't act suspicious, we won't be suspicious.
