"You have your teams ready?" asks S'Nar.
"Of course."
"Good. They're targets. Follow them. See who they are with. Kill them all."
"What makes you think they are targets?"
There is a long pause before a reply.
"Instinct..."
Rogan emits another snorting laugh.
"You should watch that. Maybe you will become a target one day."
"Oh, you have no idea how protected I am. You have your orders, Guildmaster."
Hmmm...
Hang on.
Uh-oh.
Guildmaster.
Guildmaster ROGAN.
Guildmaster Rogan... lead member of the Osokan Hunting Lodges.
Commander of all Osokans, chief of all the Osokan gatherings.
That Osokan is the Head of State of the planet Lanzar! There IS no higher position than Guildmaster! He is President, General, Chief Minister all in one. He RULES that planet!
When he was speaking of 'my' people, he wasn't being poetic! They ARE his people.
The Hunting teams are HIS teams. He's organised the whole damn thing. What, in the name of SANITY, is he doing HERE!?
A cold feeling spreads through your body as an answer starts to form in the back of your head.
He's here for you.
Someone, somewhere, someHOW... has set this up.
Oh yeah. And S'Nar can identify force users just by looking at them. That's a neat trick. That's not instincts, that's... more like... Intuition...
Uh oh.
Shit. Ush, I hate you.
Okay, the very obvious thing to do here is to lose our new shadows. And lose them away from our ships. While killing Rogan is very tempting indeed, from what I read of the last episode, we have every reason to do anything other than engage the Okosans in battle. Especially since we're in the company of the damned Guildmaster now.
Would we be able to lose the Osokans at some point with good enough intrusion rolls, or whatever would matter for that?
You must have lost your Good/Bad-o-meter at some point, Rand.
Well, he sussed when you were using them (if you care to check his reaction when you used Empathy, Rand...), so maybe if you guys are smart enough you can suss out him.
Indeedy so, it will be Intrusion to try and lose any tails. Of course, I suppose that plan involves losing anyone without Intrusion, because don't thnk you get group rolls on that one! Osokans get very fixated on their targets. And Lordy, Rogan got a good sniff on all of you in that convo!
The safer people right now are Tanic, Gallador and Xavier. As of yet the Osokans are not trailing them.
Forget about the parts grabs- at some point between now and tonight you'll get what you need. All that is left now is your 'pre-plan plan', and the big plan itself. Both factors, of course, now somewhat complicated.
This is going to be fun.....
Hehe, Gallador, much as I'm sure we'd like to....I don't think that'll help matters much at the moment. More like completely broadcast who we are.
I get the feeling that losing any Osokans following us is going to be tricky because of the scent thing...though Rogan's the only one that was there, right? So he'd be the only one able to identify us through that.....
I'm guessing the others wouldn't be too happy with us if we met up with them and led a bunch of Osokans to them....dunno how safe it'd be for us to use our comms right now, as they've tracked them before....
Well, this is going to be tricky. One thing I do think is that we should stick together because should it come to a fight, we're better against them together as opposed to split up, as we've found out.
