Not just because you discuss your visions, no, but if that contributes towards a more harmonious group, then yes.
Galder didn't respect you as a leader, Rand, but lack of respect creates a vacuum that hatred filled. So long as he felt something, he had something to concentrate on which meant he didn't simply try and kill you, odd as that may seem (that is because rationally, he didn't want to kill you; only if he lost control and attacked you in a rage would that have happened).
So, you being a leader in place for Galder in mind, that you were leader at a time in which Galder thought he was returning to his old cause was fine.
You just being there was not enough.
So if you were here and had a cause for them all- and could demonstrate its practicality- then fine. Otherwise, rather than Galder's random violence, the game would more be developing along Galder slipping into the irrationality which meant he would try and kill you.
Gallador takes Galder to a side:
"I have received a prophecy from the Force, which mentions a destiny for us, ancient secrets waiting to be revealed, that will destroy the way of Jedi and create new Order both spiritual and perhaps even temporal. You must only have patience, master your spirit and mind as well as body and you can be as great as Kuylen. Remember what we discussed on Empireus, the possibilities are still there."

Galder glares at Gallador.
"No one will ever rival Kuylen, you fool," Galder snarls. "No one! Not even the Sith Lords of old. He was a great man, strong tactician, and marvelous with the Force."
"I will be great in a different way, Gallador, though you may not realize that my destiny is carved out for me, somewhere amongst the stars, wherever Kuylen left his damned Archives."

"I will be great in a different way, Gallador, though you may not realize that my destiny is carved out for me, somewhere amongst the stars, wherever Kuylen left his damned Archives."
Gallador makes one of his mysterious, enigmatic smiles:
"I think you underestimate yourself. You are already much more deadly in combat than most Jedi in Order, and you still haven't reached your full potential. And you never will, if you let your emotions and despair enslave you.
And Kuylen was great, but he didn't have the power of true Sith Lord, he wasn't even considered true Master of the Force when he was in the Jedi Order. You must understand that there is much more to Force than direct combat. Your killing of this random man was an act of weakling who can't control himself. You can direct your anger against me now, but you know it is true. .
You don't have enough faith in yourself. You don't have faith in the Force."
Galder grabs Gallador by the throat, squeezing just hard enough to let him know who is in control of the situation.
"I have plenty of faith in the Force," Galder snarls. "It has gotten me this far, and it will take me farther. I have control of my emotions, they make me stronger! You're the one with the problems with your hatred, you're the one that went through the training at the Jedi Order, fit for pansies."
"I don't give a damn what the Jedi thought of Kuylen's power. They underestimated him several times."
Gallador tries to hide his fear, knowing that Galder is capable of killing him. But he doesn't seem to be that much unstable currently.
"You can kill me, but you can't hide the truth, you must embrace it, conquer it. My hatred is carefully controlled tool, that is deadly weapon against my enemies. I am not the one to lose control. Let me help you. I respect you, and wish your power to grow.
Now put your hands off me."
The servos in Galder's prosthetic arm whine as he clenches tighter, then releases Gallador.
"As long as you don't try to bend me to your will, or make me your apprentice or something stupid like that, I could use a bit of...he..." Galder struggles to get the word out. "Hel...h...well..."
His anger is still boiling over in him from Gallador seemingly trying to boss him around and put down Kuylen.
"You get the drift," Galder finally says, jabbing his finger at Gallador's throat. "Teach me some stuff on how to control myself, and I won't slaughter you like a stuck nerf."
